I lived in small town or village when I was a youngster (Just a few years ago ) met my first wife must of been nearly 18 years ago at the local disco where everyone met their partner..
yes its bloody sad!!
But what I noticed over the years is that most small villages/towns are actually just big swing clubs..yes all **** each other and swapping partners of course not intentionally its just how it works out in small villages..
I remember taking kids to school and noticing all the couples swapping partners , well they were not swapping in that sense but it is the same sort of thing.
Bob would be married to Tracy for a few years, after while it went tits up for both, so Bob moved in with Valery who just split up from Don.. and Tracy went out on a girls night out to the local disco and met Frank who just split up with Donna.. and so it goes on and on.. in a small town its not always so easy to meet other singles especially if there are just 3/4 bars and some disco with a lighting system from the 1940's
What they really needed was something like an estate agents where notices could be put up with something like :
"Unexpectedly available Bob 56 from West street.Good working order and still sexually active:"
When I first split with my wife, mother always said "Why don't you just find some women here" **** no thanks would be my answer.. I already started my Russian adventure..
I had enough of Village swing clubs..
