There are many sites in English to buy tickets for trains in Ukraine in English!! Including the site mentioned, the Ukraine government site is in English for reading and purchasing, this site was updated for the 2012 football matches in Poland and Ukraine


http://www.uz.gov.ua/en/  State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine  for ticket purchasing full english interface

http://www.russianrail.com/  russian railsway site with full english interface

their new version of the website is only in test mode now, and you can do nothing there, I am pretty sure they will give up and return new interface...

so http://www.uz.gov.ua/en/ is really useless...

as for http://www.russianrail.com/ - it doesn't show all destinations, doesn't show prices for most of the tickets and the price is not what you can get directly from Ukrainian Railways

http://www.e-kvytok.ua is the only place where you can buy tickets for Ukrainian Railways directly for the real price.

then choose passangers on the header and click on Reservation / purchase travel documents which takes you to this page http://www.uz.gov.ua/en/passengers/reservation_purchase_travel_documents/

which is the same info you say to use except  you get more details from the goverment site in english, Maybe you should have checked the site better before making the comment it is useless it is the same information and way to purchase tickets plus sites english interface does work and gives info for euro - 2012 and many other details and information.

Dear, Bridesofukraine, maybe I am stupid, but it makes no sense to me why I should go to http://www.uz.gov.ua/en/ and waste my time navigating the useless front page site that they managed to put together and at the end get redirected to http://www.e-kvytok.ua anyway
