Nice to meet you. I joined to hopefully learn a bit more about Russian women before I begin my quest. I have been chatting with several beautiful women over the last few months and one has really caught my eye. She is a bit younger than myself, but it seems we have much in common. And she is beautiful to boot.
I have already booked my tickets to Odessa so am excited to finally get to meet her. First time out of country and may be a bit challenging since she speaks no English, but I am optimistic.
I fly through Austria by the way. Is it a difficult airport to navigate?

I am a bit older, but she says it feels like we are from the same generation. I assume because Western pop culture was delayed while she grew up.

Not with women, but I am an IT recruiter, so planned to meet some Ukrainian developers while there. They are currently in high demand so I will do some scouting on the ground. Maybe one has a sister?

Forget it, honestly. I pushed it with a 20 year age gap and all this 'I look younger than I am' stuff is platitudes and while things are still going strong, I'd definitely not recommend anyone else does it unless you're just after some rumpy-pumpy.
We were lucky since we are both super-intelligent (not saying your not), could discuss particle physics/quantum entanglement right from the get-go and she spoke A1 English from the start, but with a big age difference and no way to communicate like adults, well.....
The western culture catchup thing is bollocks, Soviet Union ended nearly 30 years ago and generally European lasses, even Eastern ones are far more free and liberal and switched on and yes, sexually open than 50 year old men from anywhere really.
We can say ' :censored: ' on TV here, everything is far more open this side of the pond.

You are probably pushing the envelope too far. 21 year old girls look great their
tight little bodies defy gravity but they rarely have the maturity to succeed in
an international relationship, where they have to leave all their friends and
family, their language, history and culture.
My second piece of advice is that you choose the restaurant the first 3 days
and not to go on any shopping trips and see if the girl is still interested in you.
Arrange your own taxi's, translation and airport pickup.

I can give you details on how to set up a good backup plan.

First, you are going to get a lot of advice, some very good and some
that is more dubious. Whatever you do, don't get offended and defensive.
You are relatively anonymous here and you will get some good stuff along
with the negative.
Nobody knows your own situation better than you. So sift through all the
advice and use the best and ignore the rest. Eventually somebody will come
along and beat you up a bit, just move on and don't respond.
You do have some things going for you. You have a ticket and a plan.
Now you need a backup plan.
The worst back up plan
Mope around feeling sorry for yourself, go to the beach, get the sunburn
from hell and don't ask any of the beautiful bikini clad girls out on a date.
The wimpy back up plan
Explore the country and learn something about it. This is always something
you do when exploring a country but not the whole plan.
The retread backup plan.
Go meet girls that you've already delegated to second place. You want
and need a first place girl. The girls don't like being second place girls
so leave them be and meet new girls.
The Popka! back up plan
Meet attractive girls and see if you have chemistry.
Regarding AD, we have threads about them. You can search for them using
the search feature or you can ask and somebody can find them for you.
This girl might be a serious girl who really likes you (but not likely). You've
made plans to meet her so go meet her, but if you don't feel mutual
chemistry, then don't wait, launch your back up plan.
Read those two links that I posted earlier. One of them explains how to set
up a backup plan. As you read, you will have questions, come back here
and ask them.

I have not ventured there yet, but the link Ste provided does bring up a few questions. The woman I am speaking to assures me that everything is on the up and up these days as far as agencies, they even check the girls passports for verification.
Thank you for the great info popka. I do not plan on sulking in the hotel room. Odessa seems to be a very active vibrant city with much to see and do. I will take advantage of that while visiting.

Sadly, I concur with every word of advice you've had here, but - HEY - you might actually be the exception ...
If you feel that you are being 'taken' ...you are .... You are on a WOVO - Write one, visit one trip and a good lass - that is into you will protect your ass and see you aren't being ripped off.
If everything is being arranged by AD - you are just a gravy train.
IF you get lots of hints to constantly buy stuff to show your 'affection' - RUN.... WE know folks in Southern Ukraine and there is a possibility than can be contacted for an alternative perspective - if you are getting bad vibes.
Having said ALL that.... if you are now prepared for the 'worst' and can afford a lesson in how not to do it ... ( pay by letter sites ) you should pick up enough to be able to 'break free' - if the trip seems like you are being 'packaged' every day.
Everyone is interested in your trip, now - so few do what you are doing, nowadays.

Ste, your situation is very atypical. Your SO is an "urban kid" and an intellectual.( Let aside that she really has height/body / facial features of a high fashion model.) And you looked like Jesus when she met you. I mean, c'mmon. Even in Russia during communism, 'twas an archetype. (And i'll bit my tongue that historical Yehoshua had no way of surviving middle-eastern sun with such skin complexion, let alone that he was black-eyed, black-haired and short.) I won't tell your SO, promise, i don't want to disappoint her after all these year :-X
p.s. by atypical, i mean that most either marry with huge age gap - but then there's gap in background, education and all (we had , i think, even 30+ differences here, but it's not people who'd meet in their regular social circles;) OR it's lesser age gap and closer to one's own class, which most guys here wisely choose IMHO.

Just be open minded, don't fall in love with any strangers and stay realistic. People do meet their FSU wife's online but some get taken for a ride too. And don't get offended if you don't agree with what you read, just use it as an alternative point of view.

You look much younger than your age? No need for you to run into "scammers" when you're willing to do it all by yourself. Not to say you cannot have a good time and learn a few things on your trip.
Change your target age range to 27 years old and above and your chances for a bit of success go way up. And have at least 2 or 3 targets. Letters are fantasy. Only in a real meeting and subsequent meetings could you determine reality.

When I reached the time limit and still could not find the answer, I decided that I am still trapped in a difference of cultures...... :ROFL:

I am asking because hormone replacement can be prescribed in any clinic and natural supplements you can buy everywhere.
I do not believe that a wellness center can prolong your health life.
Improving quality of life is a goal of ANY medical intervention.....

I would not say there is anything special about my clinic. It is just not an overpriced pseudo science based center is all.
Not sure where you live but they do not prescribe hormones in most clinics here. There are doctors or specialists that normally handle this. But maybe our definition of the word clinic differs.
Correct, supplements are purchased online from Amazon. No need to overpay for what you can get elsewhere for less.
Quality and length of life is determined by many factors of course. Genetics I believe a primary one. Diet and exercise are also critical in the equation.
I believe healthy nutrient intake and hormone replacement dies have an impact on a persons lifespan. It keeps you lean and in better physical shape, reducing risk of disease and health problems. The goal is to not need a medical intervention in the first place, or do you disagree?

I believe healthy nutrient intake and hormone replacement dies have an impact on a persons lifespan. It keeps you lean and in better physical shape, reducing risk of disease and health problems. The goal is to not need a medical intervention in the first place, or do you disagree?
Hormone replacement is not the best investment for your six figures salary.
You are only 47. As a matter of fact, it can reduce your lifespan.
There is a strong connection between hormones and neurotransmitters.
Disbalance in both can bring you to a serious disorder.

Her and her agency will eat you alive. Prepare to spend some serious $$$. You aren't the first and you won't be the last. She doesn't need to go to a life extension clinic.
Now you might get lucky and she may be a good time girl (flexible morals and she will spend private time with you if you make her feel special enough) however you're dreaming if you think you have a long-term future incl. marriage with her.
Change your target to age 30 and then you will have some genuine long-term prospects. However for sure you can/could have a good time in Ukraine if you're prepared to have a back-up plan if things go south.
Now you could be Clark Gable and Frank Sinatra all wrapped up in one but remember that Ava Gabor divorced Frank and left him broke and depressed. He was a real fighter though and had a comeback.

Can't abide gin, or any spirit to be honest. Public transport is too damned good, I can go by DART, Bus Átha Cliath or the Luas tram, Luas being Gealic for something, 'fast' or 'rapid' I think.
And at Volshe, I wouldn't call myself successful, certainly not money-wise! I have a tendency of earning it, piling it up, then pissing it away on sporty cars and expensive guitars...

No need for counseling. I am a very stable individual. Yes, at my age I have failed in life quite a bit. I have also dealt with stress. Both are part of growing and learning as an individual, in relationships, and in business.
I have also had quite a bit of success in life. I am not where I am today for no reason.

Welcome to the forum. I'm going to assume your are serious
in your intentions and are not a troll.
I made my first visit to Russia in 1997 as part of an Anastasia tour.
I had the time of my life. But times are different now.
You are getting some really good advice here from some experienced
people. Anastasia net does not have the best business reputation and
it is quite likely that this lady is "earning" a cut from all the revenue her
photo is generating for the agency and that somebody other than her is
writing the letters to you. But it is not impossible that she is a serious
lady with honest intentions.
There are some warning signs you should be made aware:
1) Is the agency insisting on you paying for a translator and a driver?
If so this is a bad sign. If you feel you need an interpreter it is best to
line up your own rather than allow the hosting agency to do that for you.
Same with drivers - however the subway system in the FSU is remarkably
good and "gypsy" taxi drivers are readily available and very inexpensive.
I might recommend you consider "going it alone" without an interpreter.
You can buy an Etaco portable translator that translates speech virtually
instantaneously and will cost you far less than the services of an interpreter.
It is also a way to gauge the seriously of the lady's intentions of starting a
relationship with you.
2) Look up the discussion on the "5 Date Rule" on this forum. Trust me,
just like in the USA, if you are not having sex with this lady within the first
5 dates, she certainly isn't romantically interested in you and likely is using
you for financial gain. Don't continue to throw away good money after bad.
3) It all likelihood, a 25-26 year age difference is too wide. After all, you
are old enough to be her daughter. There are rare success stories under these
circumstances and everyone thinks THEY will be the exception. In my opinion,
you can push the age difference out to 15 years if you find one with a child
4) checking passports and claiming to be willing to sign a IMBRA release do
not guarantee the intentions of the lady. Having her show her willingness to
separate from the agency and communicate with you without an agency tells
you more about her true intentions than anything else.
5) if your "gut feelings" tells you thinks what is going on is not right - listen!
Trust your gut feelings. They're almost always right!
I have a feeling that this trip is going to be a very informative and expensive
learning experience for you. But it's one that all of us who are or have been
married to a lady from the FSU have experienced ourselves. Enjoy the ride and
please provide a trip report of your experiences. As a forum mod, I'll insure that
the insults are kept to a minimum and that criticism is made in a positive and
not ridiculing spirit.

So she went off to take a shower and I logged on to a dummy account that I used to keep at Aweb to have a look.
And I discovered she was online. Or rather "she" was online because the woman in the profile was taking a shower in my flat. So when she got out of the shower, I showed her. We joked about chatting with "her" and sending a pic of her and I together, but that would have required a more detailed registration that I was interested in making.
So some pointers:
A. Don't use PPC or PPL sites. The incentive to "cheat" is too large, so you are going to run into a lot of fakes, either real girls whose profiles are being operated by others, or by model girls who have no idea they are even on a foreign-facing dating.
B. If you ignore A, then establish direct communication and get her off of the PPC/PPL site as soon as possible. If she is resistant or disappears shortly after, then, well, I guess you know.
C. Women select for height without mercy. If things are going to work with you and that girl (assuming she's legit), you need to be 6'5"+. If you are, then she will likely be forgiving of things such at your age.
D. Age gaps relationships are possible, but not probable. You have to be exceptional in one or more ways - and not just in thickness of wallet - to make it work. But don't assume that you are a magical "exception".
D. Don't get spun up over her. If you go, fine, but have a back-up plan because you may find yourself either on your own in ODS or going on one date and then she's gone.

A tougher find overseas though as it takes more than banging some code out.
