Up to 3 million Hong Kong people are eligible for citizenship in the HK. Sounds like Cantonese could be very useful in London. Alot of the rich HK may expatriate their family with this.

3m of them though?
I'd much rather have immigrants from Hong Kong than Muslim ones from Dustystan, but we don't have much space. And Boris was elected - among other things - on reducing immigration and taking control of our borders.
Let's hope 3m of them don't arrive.

Well not all 3 million are gonna move. I figure maybe a few percent of that. They would need to speak English well and have decent job prospects.
The educated or rich HKers probably have an overseas passport somewhere already.

Many people who would come would be rich and bring millions of pounds with them. Maybe you need a few of that kind of immigrate.

Unless they bring their business, cash and intellectual property with them. The UK could set up as a mini HK after we’ve got rid of the EU and stimulate the economy? There must be something going on in there that we can’t see yet.

Many wealthy Chinese have already left after making their fortunes. China may make a law to prevent the Hong Kong elite from taking their money with them. Bringing wealth into the UK would be good for the UK but if China is cracking down hard on Hong Kong creating a crisis and the UK takes on everybody wanting to flee, then it will be a burden.

Bat soup and they're bringing enough of it to share with you!
