Dating in the FSU and Other Countries / Is this Cheap or Not?
« Last post by 2tallbill on Today at 12:04:54 PM »
I should clarify one point.  As I was told the story, Anya did not ask for the money.  Bob offered it and she accepted his offer.

I know this is an old dead thread, so you don't need to tell me.

Bob is a weasel. When he offered it, he didn't say specifically it was a loan. She found out
ex post facto, after the fact. Weasel Bob is worse than cheap.

The latest iteration for MOB's is Passport Bro's

They sell merch, they give FAQ type advice, they do not allow unfiltered discussion or
even filtered discussion. Croatia is the closest place to the FSU that they recommend.
They mostly go after Asia/South American women and they don't talk about culture
as far as I can tell.

They have lots of You tube band width. With young model type guys going after young
model type women. They lean into the feminist hate. I think that the home page is as
much about selling merch as anything else.

Putin has decreed that all deputy prime ministers are to resign and that he will
appoint all new ones, forever.

It's really not Soviet like because they had competing factions. It's more dictatorial, it could
theoretically be more efficient because they are not pulling in different directions, but there
are less idea's and new blood flowing into the room as well.

Putin approves structure of new government
MOSCOW, May 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the structure of Russia’s new government.

According to his decree, the distribution of authority between deputy prime ministers has changed.

The number and names of Russian ministries under the new government will remain the same.

The Russian government resigned to the newly elected president, Vladimir Putin. The cabinet will continue to carry out its duties until a new government is appointed.

Believe me, most Americans would have been happy if the EU could have put its on house in order in Europe, but also unsurprised when it could not.

B/B

That's a really short sighted view of the situation.

The reality is, US meddling in international affairs and in this particular instance Ukraine, is directly responsible for the European house being in a mess. Russia had been growing ever closer to the EU over the last few decades but Uncle Sam had to make sure Russia and the West remained at odds.

Our 'free' western media has stuck to the narrative of a wicked revanchist Russia attacking innocent democratic unified Ukraine, as a first step to conquering Europe and satisfying Putins thirst for blood and glory......in reality it's all about the US maintaining control over Europe, slowing down the decline and strategically weakening their appointed enemy. In fact this is all about the US and dick swinging with the European pleb leaders being made to dance to the tune.

Ukraines been on the US radar as far back as 2008 and there's a wealth of information at your finger tips to educate yourself about it. Yes it was Russia who launched the invasion and they can certainly be held accountable for that but it is the US who has created the environment for war in Europe to happen. In about a years time, the west will have ploughed nearly $500 billion into Ukraine, the country wrecked and millions dead - if the US really wanted peace, they'd simply have stepped back from Ukraine and left it alone. It was never about Ukrainian sovereignty and the sooner you accept that the easier the debate will become.

Alas.....they wanted this to happen and some back in Washington are really enjoying the show.

General Chat / Re: Nice Things To Say About Amazon!

Mark, to be fair, not everyone can do the type of work that you do and that you find fulfilling.

Another version of the reality that you see is that Amazon is one of the few large businesses that regularly provides work for those who have no qualifications, no skills, and only their muscles and compliance as tradeable assets.

Many years ago, I worked for a time in a factory that processed vegetables directly from farmers and produced the cleaned, boiled, and frozen output in the form of pallet-sized blocks of ice with the veggies locked inside. I found the work boring, tiresome, and stressful. I had no input into how to do the work, I could not choose the tasks I carried out, and my wages were, by my standards of the time, far from good.

However, many of the workers there were relatively content with their lot. They had worked there for years and enjoyed a low-responsibility, fixed working hours regime with the option for overtime if they chose it. However, they could easily be prodded into a moan about the factory and work.

We are not all equal and, in terms of our labours, not all worth the same. Amazon, as far as I can tell, pays above minimum levels, and they expect people to be performant in their roles.

One could look at the British with regards to the Falklands to see how this would end. Worth noting Russia has approximately 70 targets that are floating. Russia calls them icebreakers, I would see them as future submarines.

Indeed, as then-Senator and future SecDef William Cohen pointed out, the real 'miracle" of Grenada was how fast the "Cuban Construction Workers" beat their plowshares into AK-47s.

So your supposition that NATO is merely a defensive organisation is therefore demonstrably false.

The fact that NATO had to clean up the EU's mess in Yugoslavia - and really, outside of the UK, Europeans consistently fail to understand the significance of Hard Power - does not change the fundamental nature of NATO.

Believe me, most Americans would have been happy if the EU could have put its on house in order in Europe, but also unsurprised when it could not.
