Title: Pole dance fitness championship in Vladivostok
Post by: Larry on October 29, 2012, 09:38:05 AM
In view of the nonstop rancor here lately I thought I would try to lighten the mood by posting photos from a recent athletic competition in Vladivostok.

The fifth Pole Dance & Fitness open championship was held in Vladivostok in October, 27th. Both professional and amateur dancers were there to show what they could.

... Some of them are as flexible as Olympic champions!

They are indeed.

I'll bet this girl began her athletic career in gymnastics.  Look at those abs:

No detail is overlooked. Notice how her toenail polish matches her outfit:

If any of you find a particular favorite photo that I didn't include above, please feel free to post it.

The high heels had nothing to do with it, did it?  :-X

I think high heels have no place in an athletic competition.

I'm a bit surprised there's no love for contestant number 5.

Does anyone have a guess as to the ethnic background of contestant number 1?  She could play an American Indian in a movie - long, straight black hair, high cheekbones, bronzed skin.  She would have made a much more realistic looking Sacagawea than Donna Reed in the Lewis & Clark expedition movie. What are your thoughts?  Tatar, Siberian tribe, other?

Considering the contest took place in Vladivostok, I'd say Tatarstan is too far away.

She might be Yakut, Buryat, Evenk, Chukchi... or any other Siberian \ Far East "tribe" (not sure this word is truly appropriate here, though...) belonging to the same ethnical group as American Indians.

Thank you, Olga Mouse  tiphat

And thanks to another of our FSUW members we have the official website for the contest:

http://poledance.vl.ru/winners2012

The site tells us who won which category, as well as overall.  Number 3, who is winning our poll handily, Julia Turmacheva, won the prize in the category "Best Trick".  We don't have a photo of the overall winner.

The darkly exotic Siberian girl number 1, Irina Tretyakova, won the category "Lovers".
