Question anyone with kids.. are you letting your kids out to play and mix with other kids yet? Or would you if you had kids?
Even a few good friends?

Our daughter is playing with the girl next door, but in the garden only.
She isnt going back to school on the 8th though, as I haven't seen how they intend to handle it. She might do a week or two later.
My teenage son is avoiding his pals still.
The notion of kids "playing out" in the UK like we did is a bit outdated. They dont really do that anymore. They visit each other and prod screens. :coffeeread:
Whatsapp groups and group Zoom calls comes naturally to screen addicted kids.

Yeah been two months off school here and 12 hours a day stuck on a phone or computer.. sad sad sad lives kids have.. I have a new regime starting June 1st cos then they got another 3 months holidays! And it's not going to be stuck on the net all day! Im getting all ready right now, bikes and stuff , if the sun is out "Your out" is my motto this summer to them!

I don't understand kids today.. its like a bloody addiction ..I can't imagine what makes some one want to stick on a stupid bloody phone all day.. and blimey don't they get aggressive if you take it off them :ROFL:
When I was 15 I had small boat with my mate, we were doing lobster potting and gill netting I was making 30 quid a week and still at school! That was shit loads of money then, before the EU fisheries rules and bullshit coming we sold salmon and lobster all over the village :)

Phone use is addictive. They have the same effect as drug use in the brain I.e dopamine’s.
My girls don’t have phones.
They do their online lessons in the day and then online gymnastics in the afternoon. Then they get kicked outside to ride their bikes, play badminton or have a walk around.

My oldest son gets to goto his best friend, whose parents I trust are also complete-lockdown / sane people. Nobody there has been sick as nobody of my friends caught the covid thing.
I do have one vague aquaintence (spelling?) that got covid and died from it. He was 64.
Schools are open here, and I looked at their preventive measure plan & hygiene plan and ok'd on it. Now its back to school.

I can't stand all this internet stuff it really is bad for kids.. worse than a drug and all these kids today take it away and see how aggressive they get..
I asked lots of friends and all have the same problem, when they cut the hours down or take the phone off the kid for a few hours..
Can you imagine a 14 year old telling you "You ruined my life" and all sorts of shit for taking the phone off them for a 5 hour break.. :laugh: :laugh:
It really is sad! I dumped my phone a long time back thank god!
