What is best website to get Ukraine or Russian Television Stations?
« Reply #75 on: January 16, 2011, 04:32:15 PM »
I developed a habit of watching Ukraine Television programs while being in Kharkov these last few times and I am starting to miss it in the USA.  I am hoping there is a website or service available to get these same stations I got on Cable in Kharkov. Does anyone have a suggestion of the place to look or a service to investigate for internet television that might be the best source?  Having looked on Google I found a large number of websites, etc, but I have no way of knowing which would be the best ones.  I have the silly notion that watching these programs will somehow help me learn more Russian as well.

not sure to put this here or start a new "iphone/smartphone" apps to FSU stations; but I downloaded these two apps on my iphone.

1. wunderradio - $4. its great. downloaded several months ago and am listening to russian, ukraine and german stations. unfortunately, russkoe radio out of moscow doesnt wotk to well; but fortunately the russkoe radio iphone app does.

2. russkoe radio - $2, downloaded as wunderradio doesnt work well for russkoe, but it works fine as its own app.

Wanted to resurrect this interesting thread with a VERY helpful link to many interesting FSU/ Russian films that can be understood in English

http://www.leonidstorch.ru/storches-lists/registry-best-soviet-and-russian-movies-eng/

I cannot take credit for this link ...member BelleZeBoob  posted it elsewhere and I came across it

Would be great to hear from Russian speakers which films they recommend and why......

I have never claimed to be a Blue Beret

Spurious claims about 'seeing action' with the Blue Berets are debunked >here<

This thread is kinda old and I have not read it entirely,  but here is a link to Russian T.V. if not already posted.
