there are also two places 30 and 35 km from Minsk ( moscow direction). There you can skate, ski, and hill skiing. We have also many big events there.

Hello people , the year is going to the end , so I make some resumes:
1 this year Belarus started the transplantation of heart and kidney- it is a great achievement in medical and surgery areas
2. the world sport committee decided to hold a world hockey championship in 2014 in Minsk, so this year in Minsk is already built the second in the world hockey ring( arena)
3. this year in Football Manege in Minsk there was a show " Miss Intercontinental-2009", where Belorussian girl took the place of ViseMiss Intercontinental and place of Miss Intercontinental Europe, Miss Congeniality!
so this is Belarus and BELORUSIAN GIRLS!

At the front of my apartment house is a car that you can hardly see in the snow, it is continuing to snow so soon I guess no one will be able to see it anymore

Now you will the Ya. Kolas Square (Kolas- family name, he is a famous belorussian writer, lived in 19 century). In the centre there is a park with fountains and monuments and the main monument is Ya. Kolas:

On one side of the square there is the Big Supermarket (Универмаг) called TSUM-Minsk (ЦУМ-Минск):

The Philharmonic Concert Hall (Филармония Зала) Concert Hall where all kinds of classical music is performed:

There is also Physical culture Building in front and metro station:

Love the snaps!! Just came back from Minsk having spent a month in Belarus and I loved it especially Minsk. Stunning architecture, wide avenues just beautiful. I grew up in Vienna and I felt so at home in Minsk even though it was -25 when I left!!!!

Can not wait to go back when the spring is here to enjoy the city a bit more rather than just seeing white everywhere!!

Got a few questions about Minsk, since I haven't been there in years?

1. What's the new name of Masherov Ave(Prospekta Masherova)?(or other major street changes?)
2. Any new hotels open up?
3. Any of you been to the "Mound of Glory"?(went past it on the way from the airport)
4. Is the Musical Comedy Theater still functioning as such.......or was it turned back into a synagogue(which it orignally was)?
5. Does the Camelia cafe(near Minsk 1 airport)still exist?
6. I heard there is an "Alcatraz" nightclub there. Any of you been there??

New name is prospect pobediteley
depends what is new, Crown Plaza-very modern also new disco there , Victoria, they are in a prosess of building more
It is still there, what exactly you wanted to know?
Musical Comedy theater still functioning and curcus is closed now , it will be fixed in the new modern inside
plus in opera theater they fixed everything and now it is one of the best stages in europe ( I mean technic constraction)
Minsk airport now have a new reastarant and night club at the same time, also today on the territory of airport it was a championship in car drifting today,
