Kzyl-Orda (Kyzylorda) region is situated in southern Kazakhstan, extending along both banks of the lower Syrdarya River. A large part of Kzyl-Orda oblast is covered by the Aral Karakum and Kyzylkum deserts, making it one of the hottest and most arid regions of Kazakhstan.
