A fun scene from when Timothy Dalton was Bond. Wait until the end.  ;D

Don't know who the next James Bond will be but I'm betting it will be a black female who IDs as non binary and is an illegal immigrant to the UK.

A few years ago when there was talk of a new James Bond they were talking about Idris Elba, a black English actor replacing  Daniel Craig. Replacing a white actor with a black actor was to gain some DEI points IMO. I merely took it a few steps further and not only changed the race but changed gender and made the new choice an illegal. That would have earned lots of DEI points.

I would have been ok with Elba, who is a talented actor, taking on the role, assuming that "James Bond" was going to become a code name for the agent designated at 007, but merely putting in a "sassy black girl" for purposes of saying "Look at us!  Look at how 'woke' and cool we are!" was stupid.

I would be ok, with Idris Elba playing 007, but james bond remains james bond. Thats the character and he's not black.

I get it, but they wouldn't do it that way because they'd give up their brand identity.  We all know who 007 is, but we don't call it a 007 film we call it a Bond film.

Seems to me James Bond is synonymous with 007, just as B.B. wrote above. However in No Time To Die, a female agent named Nomi was 007, but then she gave that designation back to James Bond "out of respect".

Even though James Bond died in the last movie, will they ignore that, or will the next movie have an agent with a new name?

No Time To Die featured actress Lashana Lynch, who is a black female, temporarily playing 007. So if you think they were trying to gain "SJW" points, they already did that. She gave the designation back to James Bond, "out of respect" and he decided to allow himself to be killed, because of the bioweapon toxin he had been exposed to.

However if you read the article above, you would know they made it clear that James Bond will be a man, for the next film.
