Scammed by (AI) Brad Pitt
« on: January 21, 2025, 02:41:15 PM »
3 Nigerian in their 20s apparently was able to scam a French woman in her 50s believing 'Brad Pitt" was in contact with her for over a year. The story line was Mr. Pitt was getting treatment for cancer and have had to undergo surgical procedure and was stuck in the hospital.  The scammers were sending her AI-generated pictures of Brad Pitt in his hospital gown, captioned photos of him in hospital bed and surgery table, etc...

She was so hooked she divorced her husband and was sending monies to 'Brad' to the tune of $850,000.00!! She realized she was scammed when she saw (the real) Brad Pitt with his GF Ines de Ramon on TV.

She since hired a web service specializing in finding scammers on the internet, and she hoped that interpol would help pick up her case.

It's the modern-day version of those photoshopped pictures of smokinhotkovas holding up a sign saying "Hello Joe" that we used to see, isn't it?
Trip Reports: Links to my travels in Russia, Estonia, North Korea, South Korea, China and the US are >>here<<

Look what the American media makes some people believe:
Putin often threatens to strike US with nuclear weapons.

What this reminded me was the infamous "I Kiss You, Jimmy" signatory term of endearment 'Olga' would always end her letters. Just like what these Nigerian scammers did when they sent her a picture of 'Brad Pitt' with a caption "I love you, baby!"

The scams don't change - a limited set of items on the menu exists. All the changes are the ingredients in the recipes of those items.

How does somebody so gullible end up having $850k that she can send to scammers, though?
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

Olga was a Nigerian scammer? What happened to all the money I sent her?  :o
