Countdown to European collapse
Ukraine's stop to Russian gas is the EU's  biggest defeat!

After the ban on Russian gas flows to Europe via Ukraine, little is left before the complete economic and social collapse of the European continent. Energy cooperation between Russia and Europe has ended.

After almost three years of sanctions and sabotage, bilateral Moscow-EU energy cooperation has suffered its biggest blow in history. Kiev did not extend its contract with Gazprom, which allowed the flow of Russian gas to Europe, thus creating an extremely unpleasant situation of energy insecurity for its "partners" in the European Union.

On the first day of 2025, the Russian Federation stopped supplying gas to European buyers via Ukraine. Even amid the conflict, Russia's Gazprom and Ukraine's Naftogaz maintained an energy transit agreement signed in 2020 that expired on the last day of 2024.

Previously, Kiev had already announced that it did not intend to renew the contract with Gazprom, despite several European countries repeatedly asking Ukraine to do so. Despite the sanctions imposed on Russia since 2022, some European countries continued to benefit from the import of Russian gas, notably Slovakia and Hungary - countries that refused to join the anti-Russian boycott promoted by the West - as well as Austria, a country with a historically neutral stance in Europe's geopolitical and military conflicts.

Other countries, even while complying with the sanctions, continued to receive Russian gas hypocritically, such as Italy, Poland, Romania, and Moldova. There were also cases of gas being resold, with the countries receiving it re-exporting it to others trying to circumvent the sanctions.

With the end of the agreement with Ukraine, all these states lost any guarantee of a secure source of energy - and especially during the winter, the time of year when gas consumption in Europe is at its peak.

Obviously, at the moment there are energy reserves that may be sufficient to meet the challenges of the current period, but the situation will become more critical over time. European countries will have to find new sources of gas or expand the use of the two remaining routes for Russian gas (via Turkey and the Black Sea).

Recent indicators show a significant increase in natural gas prices from Asian exporters. Ankara is also expected to seize the opportunity to increase its profits from its pipeline.

Energy cooperation between Russia and Europe has ended.

One of the US objectives in starting the Ukraine conflict was to try and divert Russia's gas and oil revenue to themselves.

Now Europe will be pushed into more US LNG at big bucks.

Look what the American media makes some people believe:
Putin often threatens to strike US with nuclear weapons.

I'll see if I can dig out an article I read the other week, it came from a fairly respected pro Ukrainian MSM source.

Essentially, the US is buying more Russian energy than ever and they're now selling it back to Europe at a profit. Special relationship indeed......make us poorer and tell us we need them to keep us safe.

It's really quite the scam, isn't it? And there was Biden saying, that the Pipeline would go bye-bye, which it did. But of course anyone saying the USA had something to do with it, is a conspiracy theorist.   :coffeeread:

Wiz, Just my opinion and while I leave the forum open, I have not seen any of your posts disappear. Usually IF a moderator takes action, he notes the reason i.e. offensive language, over the top insult, wrong thread and such. Just good housekeeping.

My suspicion if you go into Quantum Hyper Drive posting, I suspect some of the drivel & twaddle would be with a note on the page be deleted. I witnessed this with your friend Moby, it was high forum comedy. I doubt the Moderators shared my laughter.

We should TRY to use a modicum of civility. Not really that difficult.

So it is you the new owner!!!

Having made so many efforts to translate and post articles of general interest from the Banking news, which I found interesting, asccurate and very critical to certain nations....that does not mean they were rude or anything else you may think. In simple terms who ever is a moderator he could not stand these opinions and delete them.

Personally I do not respect people who under false excuses remove such posts of anybody, especially when they were not rude in any way!

For your information there are plenty of other forums to read and post.

Sorry been around these boards for many years I have always been polite and civilised to people who behaved the same way...... and replied on the same tone as theirs!!!

Have a nice day or night!

Wiz, I highly doubt if any of your posts have been deleted. There is very little moderation here, and some of your posts which have been offensive are still here. Even a post where you offended a moderator. Perhaps you are starting to have some memory problems? This forum has the least amount of moderation compared to the other place, by far.

Because of your good looks and civility I am confident you will be welcomed elsewhere. Please do not let the door hit your fanny on the way out of here.

Worth noting as is the case with many of your posts, you are wrong. I have no financial interest in Manny’s endeavor.
