Russian military launched a large-scale attack on Ivano-Frankivsk

The beginning of the Ukrainian end has begun…
The Russian army has started recapturing territory in Kursk while most important of all it is advancing with incredible speed towards Pokrovsk, it has already entered Toretsk while the new development is that the Russians are also advancing towards Ugledar where they have been stuck for a year and a half.
The landscape is clear, the Ukrainian offensive at Kursk was a proverbial failure, they lost 6,000 elite special forces soldiers for nothing and 544 of all types of armor in 20 days…

This is not called a success but a tragic failure.

Meanwhile Russian forces have once fully stabilized the front at Kursk and are taking the initiative by reclaiming territory... they are focusing on Donbass... where they are preparing a major counter-offensive.

Russian President Putin has had contacts with the Russian generals, they have drawn up a strategy and are preparing something big.
Russians are not fans of hasty moves... they are a measure of war of attrition...
Ukraine's painful end is near.

The Russian military has launched a large-scale attack on defense industry facilities in Ukraine, while unconfirmed reports say two F-16s have been hit.
In Ivano-Frankovsk in a hangar where, according to reports, two F-16s hidden in Ivano-Frankivsk...were struck by Russian forces.

It was in this direction that the Russian missiles hit.

Resistance sources say containers containing fuel and lubricants were hit and black smoke could be seen billowing.

"In Ivano-Frankivsk, ambulances have arrived en masse, part of the city is cordoned off by the army, there is no light in almost the entire city."

According to information, an energy facility in Odessa was also attacked.

There were reportedly ten strikes in Kiev, along with the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital.

"Lvov region, the city of Striy, was also attacked.

In addition, in Khmelnitsky, attacks were carried out in the southern part of the city and district.

And in Volyn military forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit.

In the Nikolayev region, a powerful explosion occurred near the village of Trikhaty, after which power was cut off in several areas.

"There are no good military facilities there, but there is one of the most powerful substations in the area."

Local media reported explosions in several regions: Kiev,  Kharkov, Sumy, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lvov and Odessa.

Zelensky in panic after Russian hammering, begs West for help - Kremlin rules out ceasefire
Any prospect of ceasefire talks with Kiev had "lost its meaning, the Kremlin made clear
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in a panic after the morning barrage of Russian attacks in his country.
It said more than 100 missiles and about 100 drones were used and called on Western allies to provide air defenses.
Earlier, his chief of staff asked them to allow their long-range weapons to be used on targets inside Russia.
Ukraine's foreign minister also wants his country's allies to help shoot down Russian drones and missiles that hover near their airspace.
Moscow has targeted 15 regions of Ukraine this morning, including Kiev, where people have taken refuge in underground metro stations after explosions were heard.
Zelensky said in a Telegram post that there was "a lot of damage in the energy sector."

Kremlin: Ceasefire talks have lost their meaning

The Kremlin, meanwhile, said the attacks targeted energy infrastructure vital to Ukraine's war effort.
He also said any prospect of ceasefire talks with Kiev had "lost its significance" and warned of a further response to the Kursk invasion

I've been reading in the western press, about the overnight events in Ukraine where they suffered a deadly missile/drone attack in nearly all regions, possibly the largest in a long time. For the first time in a while, Ukraine haven't been bragging about shooting everything down and the images showing the mass destruction is telling in itself.

Zelensky has since been begging for more money and help, again very telling.

In the west, we're fed all these exaggerated UA success stories, military accomplishments, tales of Russia struggling and how the war is being turned on its head in Ukraines favour.....again and again and again. Always via MSM, ISW or Ukrainian press releases which if you have a brain, you know this is filtered bias.

However, considering the big picture, I believe we're looking at pivotal moments in the conflict.

- Ukraines cross border PR stunt hasn't met any of the potential goals and has quite probably weakened their position. If the goal was to attack a Russian nuclear plant then that's failed. If it were to force Russia into redeploying its forces away from the front line then that's failed. The PR stunt has of course succeeded and I understand Russia hasn't been invaded since 1941 but other than the media headlines, it's failed too. Many of their very best soldiers are now dead, much of their very best equipment has been destroyed, many of their foreign mercenaries are now dead and all for some footage, driving around a small rural section of Russia, just over the border.

- Russian gains on the main front have actually accelerated since the Kursk road trip and it looks like Russia will soon meet one of its prime objectives and liberate the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. This is now just a matter of time.

- Ukraine always seem to have a positive bounce following large western funding/military support and whilst some of this "support" is used against Russia, much of it gets destroyed following intelligence ops/missile strikes or abandoned in ambushes on the front lines.

- Ukraine have now resorted to attacking civilian infrastructure with more and more footage showing drones attacking apartment blocks, supermarkets and pedestrians. We see more UA drones attacking injured and/or surrendering, unarmed Russian troops which is basically documented war crimes. This simply reeks of desperation and a sign of where they really are.

- Ukrainian military high command admitted over the weekend that their bravest and best are now mostly dead or injured and the new troops replenishing the front lines, freeze in fire fights, often failing to even take a shot or simply retreat when their positions are stormed or overrun. This is coming from the UA military themselves and probably explains the accelerated Russian gains on the front lines.

I always maintained that this isn't about Ukraine being brave and good or Russia being over rated or inept. After 2 years plus of fighting, I think any war fought by any country, becomes a battle of attrition and a slog fest. The element of surprise has essentially gone, and shock & awe is no longer on the table. So unless NATO officially joins the war, Russia will win after many many more people needlessly die.

Ukraine will never have Crimea, Lugansk or Donetsk handed back to them and they'll never be in a position to beat Russia so it's time for our Western elite to stop funding this slaughter and instruct their puppet regime to negotiate peace for the sake of humanity. Perhaps once the United States sets an example and hands back American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, they can expect Russia to do so too?

Oh yea, I forgot about the hypocrisy in all of this......

Oh absolutely.

I still laugh when I hear silly folks talking about Russian expansionism, invading the next country after Ukraine and Putin wanting to resurrect the Soviet Union. Even after all this time idiots are still idiots.

Meanwhile we have our US friends buying land lease, funding the current regime whilst influencing policy, and using their puppet to push for EU/NATO membership. Vanguard and Blackrock looking to re-build Ukraine in exchange for their natural resources and the IWC rubbing their hands at lucrative new contracts. Zelensky is on TV talking about this openly like it's a good deal for Ukraine.  :chuckle:

Lindsey Graham can be caught on any internet search getting all semi'd up at the thought of dead Russians and getting his hands on $12 trillion worth of 'critical minerals'. I mean come on folks.......tell me you get it right?? This isn't the first scene of the play, it's literally what they do over and over again......

Western leaders preach about sovereignty, borders and democracy in Ukraine whilst running the shit show that is western politics and clamp down over here when we want sovereignty, borders and fair democracy.  :'(

I still cant quite understand people who simply lap up the Putin bad, Russia nasty and need to be stopped for word security BS. Then again, there's millions of people out there with very low intellect and need government to tell them what to think, otherwise they'd be drinking bleach, burning themselves with hot tea and doing the TikTok Benadryl challenge.

Apparently, they've hit many targets across Ukraine today. Including the hydro power station in Kiev. Twitter tells me Kiev is without electricity.

I suppose nobody is surprised that since they decided to invade Russia, Russia would turn up the heat.

Yea and that is really true in Russia where the defense factories work around the clock seven days a week and hire as many people as possible. This whole war is about the Russian elite and generals wanting to get richer with the spoils of war. They just did not think it was going to be this hard.
3) There has been no "threat" to invade Ukraine. The US invented that and fed it to a complicit media.

It is turning out to be a good thing for Ukraine. They now have a reason to expect more air defense systems they have been asking for. Russia proved they need them.

Russia's powerful post-Kursk counteroffensive turns the tide of war - Deadlocked Ukraine begs West for help

The multiple drone strike caused even more damage to Ukraine's electricity infrastructure
This is the first major Russian airstrike in Ukraine since Kiev's surprise cross-border invasion of Kursk, SkyNews notes in its analysis of the war in Ukraine and massive Russian attacks.
The multiple drone strike caused even more damage to Ukraine's electricity infrastructure, which had just been restored to some level of stable power.
After months of stalemate, the war has turned into a dynamic struggle to seize the initiative and keep it.

Strong Russian counter-attack

Russia is striking back with force, after the surprise cross-border invasion of Ukraine .
Its forces have seized a large swath of territory in southern Russia and claim to have made further advances over the weekend, capturing more villages.
Russia is also making advances in eastern Ukraine.
Ukraine's offensive does not appear to have attracted many Russian forces from this front in Donbass.
Having taken the lead in recent weeks, Ukraine is once again under pressure and begging for more military support from the West and greater flexibility in how it can use it.
Above all, he wants to be able to strike Russian targets deeper inside Russia , something allies are reluctant to approve, fearing the risk of further escalation.

Humiliation confession by Zelensky: Without Russia all countries will turn their backs on us - Peace conference impossible

Zelensky also said the war with Russia will eventually end through dialogue, but Kiev must be in a strong position

Now diplomatically isolated and militarily humiliated, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has admitted that representatives of a large number of countries will refuse to participate in the second conference on the Ukrainian settlement if there is no delegation from Russia .

"As for the Russian representatives at the second "peace summit", this is the desire of all countries. They want it, they believe that in this way there can be an opportunity to end the war , "said the head of the Ukrainian regime against during the press conference.
"And we will prepare a plan so that the Russian representatives, if they want to attend the second summit, will attend, otherwise we may lose a large number of countries to the second summit," Zelensky confessed.
It is noted that the first "conference for peace in Ukraine" took place on June 15-16 in Bürgenstock at the initiative of the Ukrainian side.

The forum's final communique was not signed by Armenia, Bahrain, Brazil, the Vatican, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Colombia, Libya, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and South Africa .
It should be noted that Russia was not invited to Burgenstock.
Also absent were delegations from most UN members.

Desperate, Zelensky presents a plan for the end of the war to Trump, Harris and Biden

At the same time, Ukraine plans to present a plan on how to end the war with Russia, to the candidates for the American presidency , Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. but also to the current president Joe Biden , announced the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
In addition to invading Russia's Kursk region, the plan, the Ukrainian leader said at a press conference in Kiev, includes more steps on the diplomatic and economic front.
Zelensky also said the war with Russia will eventually end through dialogue, but Kiev must be in a strong position, at a summit he hopes to hold this year, to push forward its own vision of peace.

Test of the first Ukrainian ballistic missile

Ukraine successfully conducted the test of its first domestic ballistic missile, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced.
"It may be too early to talk about it, but I want to share it with you," the president said at the Ukraine 2024 independence forum in Kiev.
Zelensky congratulated the Ukrainian defense industry on the project, but did not provide further details about the weapon.
He earlier pledged to respond to successive Russian missile attacks on Ukraine.
