Donald Trump Shooting

If indeed trump was shot at, I will go from 3rd party to voting for him.  Very sad to see him bloodied like that.

sounded like a .22 to me on the news, but evidently it was from a sniper, who was killed by a police sniper.

Not confirmed yet.

This is the DIRECT result of the HATEFUL rhetoric of the Left and all the overwrought, "TRUMP=HITLER!" rhetoric.

Trump defiant after assassination attempt, raises his fist to the crowd to show he is ok.

Shooter identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.

Crooks was registered as a Republican, but donated to progressive causes.  PA is a "closed primary" state so if he wanted to vote against Trump in the primary (which, given that he tried to murder Trump seems kind of likely), he would have had to register Republican do to so.

[For those unfamiliar in a "closed" primary state only members of a particular party can vote in that party's primary; in "open" primary states (currently 14) any registered voter can vote in any party's primary, so a Dem could vote in the Republican primary and vice versa.]

That's it. Sorted.
Trump FTW.

The pics sell the story. Nobody could in their wildest fantasies imagine the elder abuse victim looking and acting like Trump just did.

It doesn't matter that it was just his ear getting clipped. On his feet, demonstrative, communicating in a positive manner within a couple of seconds.

Which guy would you vote for to take on the stress and difficulty of running the USA?

IMHO, it doesn't matter what one's politics might be, it's about fitness for the role.

The guy who shot Trump just gave him the election.

100%.

This is the direct result of the establishment, complaint media and liberal talking heads, who constantly suggest Hitler is about to be elected to the White House and that Donald Trump is some kind of existential threat to the United States.

When they send this message, they're just recruiting nut jobs who think that they're saving the world, to fill the gap. They do this on purpose and it needs to stop.

Ironically I think this event has sealed Trumps re-election.

Interesting,

Never knew that and the media have only disclosed that the bloke was a registered Republican. That's either intentional or poor journalism.

I think you nailed it Andrew. Clipped ear or not, we'd all be in fight or flight mode and we dont get to choose which one we are.

Trump's proven he's a fighter and I honestly believe that Biden would be a runner. I wouldn't blame him for that but I know who I'd rather have as my leader.

The photo is an election winner, flag in the background and all.

Just watched an insta reel (I'm unable to share the link) and there's a bloke who looks like the shooter saying;

"My name is Thomas Matthew Crooks. I hate Republicans, I hate Trump and guess what.....you got the wrong guy".

I'm not sure what he was alluding to but I'm sure it'll start to unwrap itself.

Edit - found it on YouTube.

The video above was taken down. Strange.

Sky News captured the inane reasons why this culminated to this moment. A band of idiotic talking heads professing murdering Trump.

You may be right, but I sure didn't like to see Trump shot and bloodied like that.  I was lying sick in bed yesterday and was watching all the news coverage online as it was happening.  Much of the media sure did its best to downplay what was going on for quite a while, acting like it was no big deal. This feeds directly into a narrative that conservatives have been grumbling about for years...and yesterday convinced me they have just cause.   Trump was about an inch away from being killed, and headlines were downplaying it like Trump fell down or something.    The nation may have found itself in a civil war if that bullet was an inch to the left.

Yeah, I'm now convinced that Trump is the better man for the job. He reacted like a warrior.   I'm not fond of many of his supporters, and some of the things Trump has said, nevertheless he is better than the Democrats who have been hiding Biden and his inabilities. Basically, lying to the voters.   So, it's not just that Trump was shot, but for me at least, it is the straw that broke the camel's back.

So the Democrat-Media Industrial Complex is in full panic mode over this.  There were people who were claiming that it was a hoax and Trump had some sort of "ketchup packet" on hear to fake this - mostly because they have TDS.

The Dems have been peddling fear this entire election because it's all they have, so it's "TrUMp WiLl Be tHe enD of OuR DemoCRacY!!!  JAnuArY 6!  Trump! HiTLeR!! HITLURRRRRRRR!!!"

There's loads of denial and the latest thing is to try to politicize it along on the lines of "Pay this much attention to it the next time it's a class of 3rd graders!" because they are trying to seize moral authority.

Given that we are past the tipping point of any confiscation (even if it were constitutionally permissible, which it is not), the answer is, ofc, to put a school resource officer in every school.

Did you hear about the Dixon, Illinois school shooting?  Nope, bc the SRO shot first.  Sorted.

Meanwhile, more Dems expose themselves as Truly Awful People:

(Now Former) Dem Congressional staffer advises future assassins to get some shooting lessons so they don't miss next time.  She formerly worked for Rep Bennie Thompson (D-MS), who earlier attempted to strip Trump of secret service protection.

This is from the 2016 election cycle, but show anti-Trump protesters attacking Trump supporters as they left a rally in support of Trump.  Evidently they think this sort of thing is ok because they are the "good guys."

The funniest part about that is , that according to Dutch news. the (now dead) shooter DID have lessons, but after only 1 class they said he was a danger to himself/others because he was such a bad shot and asked him to not come back and ever fire a gun again.

Yes, also because every time from now on when Trump is in the news, his clipped and damaged ear will be a visible reminder of that photo-op him being defiant and ready to rumble.

Remember that the riots in Minneapolis were "fiery, but mostly peaceful"?

Yeah, not so much.

Meanwhile, after the Manhattan Screwjob, Republicans somehow managed NOT to burn down the courthouse.

The minor wound is the absolute best outcome for Trump.  The photo of him, bloody face, with his fist raised defiantly is already iconic.

The Dems are screwed.  If Trump wins Georgia and Pennsylvania (where he is leading) and holds the states already leaning his way, he wins.  He is likely going to carry more swing states than that, though.

Meanwhile, this is what the Dems have:

So yeah, they are toast.

There's a lot of speculation that the deep state groomed the guy, enabled him, let him do his thing, and then shot him. That would be backed up with why they didn't have adequate security on nearby rooftops.

There is speculation that the SS guy on the opposite rooftop saw him and was denied permission to take the shot before he started shooting too.

I am reminded of a phrase Andrew used a few times in the older election:

In addition, I expect that in the end, assuming that Trump survives, he will be the next president.

So lone wolf basement dweller or deep state attempted assassination?

I'll add a poll.

while I have not spent a coon's age looking at US media in the past day or so, it looks as though mainstream media has been told to avoid using the words assassination or murder. At the same time, to downplay the event.

There were some really stupid looking headlines about the rally being disturbed by pops and loud noises while the former president was hustled from the stage.

Even now, that process seems to be ongoing. We will be told, I am sure that this was a mentally ill lone gunman with a grudge. Nobody will bother to find where he trained, who knew what he was doing, or with whom he associated.

No mainstream media will ask why access to the roof that was the sniper's vantage point was not, at the least guarded by local LEO. I bet the videos of people pointing to the shooter minutes before he started shooting will be memory holed within the next few hours.

Of course, Trump was supposed to die. But now Weare in Plan B territory. What's the backup plan going to look like? Is there a backup plan? After all, Trump was millimeters away from death and this was NOT, I am sure, a lone nutter. This was planned, has a long chain of command and some people are now mightily pissed off and busily closing down any connections to them - whoever they are.

Yes, CNN reporting he "fell", and others reporting "a disturbance" and other such nonsense.

Just think of this. When the media lies about matters that we can actually see, that require no specialised knowledge or in-depth research, just what can we trust them for?

When I worked on a newspaper many, many years ago, getting stuff right was drilled into us for one simple reason:
If the gardening columnist makes a mistake that is picked up by her readership, how can those readers then trust ANYTHING they see in the paper?

The world has changed since then; the paper on which I worked is defunct, as are the guys who worked there. (Dead, retired, or cast to the four winds)

I often see stuff thats wrong when papers write on computer-related issues. And I don't mean honest-to-god misstakes because they simply lack knowledge, but real lying. I once asked someone I trusted about it, and they said its to avoid patent-lawsuits or to prevent people trying dangerous stuff without understanding why its dangerous (those that understand & spot the errors can avoid the danger)
