About Chinese women.

In a country where there are many more men than women why are there so many single Chinese women?

I recall that there was a white woman who put herself in a marriage market for her podcast.  She was 32 and thus?  No takers.  One Chinese father, upon learning her age, simply turned around and left.  Another one looked at her and said, "You are very brave."  Even though she was not doing it to actually meet a man, I think she was legit shocked by the reaction.
