3) There has been no "threat" to invade Ukraine. The US invented that and fed it to a complicit media.

They are not new news outlets. Just web sites.

There's very few Western sites that I'd consider impartial or honest nowadays. The odd host, like Carlson, Mark Steyn or Farage, but very few channels.

More reliable news tends to be found on "alternative" sites, foreign media like RT or Al Jazeera or places like Twitter I find.

Your news said Russia was going to wipe Ukraine off the map this winter. Mine said not much was going to happen. Look at whose news source describe what really happened.

The new counter offensive Ukraine is planning is being kept secret.  All I know is one is planned. Russia has been building defensive positions all over southern Ukraine. US very nervous about possible losses Ukraine might have. They (USA) are not in the loop and are not part of the planning to keep it secret. Russia is disadvantaged because it controls a long narrow strip of land in Ukraine. Any offensive will include plans to cut off Russian resupply. The outcome will likely depend on whether Ukraine is able to be successful at reducing Russian resupply or not. Most bloggers seem to think the offensive will be in the south because that is where Russia supply lines are most venerable.  The ground is still too wet but should be dry enough soon.

This counter offensive will be very important part of the war. If it succeeds it will be a big blow to Russia and if it fails, it will be a big blow to Ukraine's war effort. Russia being the bigger army, the most equipment and being well fortified gives Ukraine only one Russian weak spot, logistics. In the next coming months will see how an important part of this war is going to play out.

The new counter offensive Ukraine is planning is being kept secret.  All I know is one is planned.

Public secret on Twitter for months, Tex.

Then again, they *plan* a lot of things and not much happens.

I'm not sure why the last bit of Bakhmut is taking so long. Twitter things supply logistics problems from Russia.

The Twitterverse says Odessa is in play shortly. We'll see.

US very nervous about possible losses Ukraine might have.

I think it's finally dawned on the US that they're going to lose their proxy war in Ukraine. A year of pumping all NATO has in stock in there has made no noticeable difference, it only slowed it down and lost many lives of Ukrainians. They cant keep it up but Russia can, they know that now. They need a face-saving exit.

You see Manny so far you have not been right about anything. You know a stop clock is right twice a day. So one day you may have your moment to be right about something. Ukraine is blowing up train locomotives. Many train locomotives are being used to transport oil out of the Russia because of sanctions causing a shortage of locomotives and Russia cannot replace them quickly. Ukraine targeting more locomotives to increase the strain. Ukraine just blew up fuel depo on Crimea part of Russian logistics.  Yes, they have been saying about a counter offensive for a long time. But where and tactics being used are not being disclosed. It was always after the ground harden and that has not happened yet. Almost everyone thinks it will be in the south. Then Ukraine may surprise everyone by doing something different. Russia has been preparing for this attack for over two months. Russia has been forced to move all of its war ships out of Crimea last week because of ongoing drone attacks. This gets rid of an important source of missile attacks. So actually, the counter offensive may have already started. It will likely pick apart Russian logistics rather than waves of tanks and troops running into machines like the Russian offensive in Bakhmut.

One reason Russia cannot take the last part of Bakhmut is in fighting between Russian units. A second reason is they have taking troops out of Bakhmut and moved them to the south getting ready for Ukraine offensive. Third reason they are sending supplies to the south leaving troops in Bakhmut with not enough ammo for an offensive.

Unless something changes drastically, there is no way Russia can take Odessia or even make a try at it.

Russia wants the west to give up on Ukraine so they can start to get rid of the Nazis in next country. It is not a proxy war the Ukraine is fighting for its survival. It stands a good chance of winning.

Of the many fanciful statements by Tex, I'll choose this one for now.

sanctions causing a shortage of locomotives and Russia cannot replace them quickly.

Where does Russia buy trains from that they would be in short supply due to sanctions, Tex?

Retired CIA and DoD Officers reporting that a face saving off ramp for City of London UK Crown Banksters, their US and NATO mercenaries with Russia is now OFF the Table as the Russians will not declare an armistice until ALL Ukraine Military is DESTROYED and all WWII Bandera NatZee followers shot in Firing Squads or shipped off to new Hard Labor and pneumonia Gulags.

The NatZees Mind Viruses must be destroyed for Russia to be Safe and NATO long overdue for a (Nuclear) Attitude Correction.

Speaking of American media, how the heck can 60,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate get lost on the rail transit?

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/30-tons-explosive-chemical-lost-rail-shipment-officials-say-rcna85526

That’s more than ten times the amount used on the ‘96 Oklahoma City bombing.

It's not that much actually. Less than 1 rail car. The folks that can make that disappear can make whole trains of it disappear, too. The more pressing question is why they are telling us about it. It would seem to me as another false flag is on the horizon. Look for more explosions in the news

27 tonnes of I assume powder or similar, if we assume about one tonne per cube, that sounds like not far short of one of those open carriages trains pull.
