Apparently the shortest term as PM in British history. According to a poll I saw published, I think, this morning, before news of her resignation broke, the favourite among Tories for next PM is Boris Johnson.

What say you Manny? Didn't you support Truss for PM over better qualified candidates? Would you welcome Boris back?

Is there any indication that Johnson set her up as replacement and to fail with an eye to a triumphant return? I seem to recall reading reports that this might have been a his strategy when she was elected by the party membership. If so, hats off to BoJo, for a truly Machiavellian masterstroke!
