Snowden gets Russian citizenship

Putin has granted Edward Snowden Russian citizenship. It would be interesting to now just what Snowden if anything has told the Russians?

Did Snowden have a high enough security clearance to know anything ground breaking or was he just a tech guy who might have know a few minor secrets but nothing that would have allowed the Russians unrestricted access to the most secure areas of the American systems?

Whatever he knew, he already revealed long sgo.
So i dont see the citizenship as anything surprosing.
More surprising that it took so long?
