Hey from Bucharest
« on: September 26, 2022, 12:33:51 AM »
I lived in Odessa for one year, ending the day the war started. I went to Moldova for 2 weeks and have been in Bucharest since then. I've been seeing a 19yo sugar baby for several months. I've had expat friends come and go. One of my struggles is maintaining male friendships. Shortly after arriving some guys with a motorcycle shop let me build a motorized bicycle there. Since then I've built a second one on my balcony. I took a contract to teach high school math at a local in person English speaking school. I'm teaching Precalculus and Algebra 2. American curriculum. The pay is only $500/month for 3 hours of work per day. I still have my Fiat 500 with Ukrainian registration. I've crashed it twice since I've been here. The condition of the roads is nicer than Odessa but they are no less confusing to me. I'd say the English level is on balance much higher than Odessa. Russian is useless here. I see very few Ukrainian refugees although I do have a few in my classes. I'm learning some Romanian.

two 90 day fiance visas, one 73 day fiance. Lived in Lvov and Odessa for 2 years. California native now on the Oregon Coast

Look what the American media makes some people believe:
Putin often threatens to strike US with nuclear weapons.
