In this case, I know that the guy has high blood pressure. What I do not know is whether he is on medication or how bad his hypertension is.

When I found out what was actually going on - a subterfuge, I was unhappy that my friend asked me because she was asking me to take part in something that I was very uncomfortable about - but I am glad she told me. However, I would still not have given her the Viagra.

As I mentioned above, back in the day my first significant online income came from selling Viagra as an affiliate. I took great care in selecting the vendor with whom I worked. I chose an outfit that did make an attempt to screen clients. OK, of course, everyone can lie - but in doing so they are at the least fully informed about what they were about to do. Hell, I used the same company and I lied on the screening form. But I knew, because the seller told me, what the risks were. The information was on the questionnaire form. Also, I had already cleared the use of Viagra with my doctor and was buying overseas in order to save money - a lot of money.

In this case, everything, good or bad, that happens to the unfortunate fiance would be a surprise.

On a related note, as a user of hypertension drugs I was interested in the effects of Viagra on my blood pressure measurements. I know that not everyone who used Viagra can expect to see a fall in blood pressure, but some do. I am one of those people. I was interested in trying the low-dose Viagra designed and licensed for hypertension treatment as I saw it killing two birds with one stone. I discussed it with my doctor. She suggested that I continue with what I already use but wrote me up for a prescription of generic Cialis. That's been a good compromise. I have also used 100mg Viagra to control my blood pressure when I have run out of my normal meds. It doesn't go all the way, but it certainly has a measurable effect.

Something that may be related to the everlasting erection thing is this: many guys find it very hard to have an orgasm when using Viagra and similar drugs. That happens to me and so I often have an erection that lasts much longer than normal. The effect is both good and bad, but in almost every case, my partner is already aware of the situation and we can enjoy it. Orgasm is not, for me, the ultimate form of pleasure in sex.

I strongly believe that one should discuss any medication with one's doctor AND carry out one's own research. I fully understand that not everyone can reliably research these topics - they don't have the ability to understand what they see. But to take Viagra, Cialis etc without seeing one's doctor first is, I think, a big mistake. In my case, seeing my doctor about Viagra was what alerted me to my hypertension! Doing so probably added years to my life!

Yeah, but knowing the woman in question, the fact that this is not already happening is indicative of another problem. As I noted this is a woman who exudes sexy and who is very horny. That's her style and has been as long as I have known her (almost 20 years). The guy needs to see a doctor, not to be tricked into something that might be harmful and, at the least, a tad scary.

If you knew nothing about what was going on, how would you feel about getting a splitting headache around your temples, seeing everything with a blue colour AND having an erection that is behaving in a manner that is not normal for yourself?

I no longer get the headaches or blue vision, but I used to get both effects.

On one level I can absolutely see the funny side, but as the bloke being asked to provide the means for the subterfuge - nope, not so funny.

The overall begs the question of why she just doesn't buy some and talk to him about it?
Versus what she was apparently thinking of doing by slipping it to him unknowingly.

You'd assume she  either has,and he dint want to, or she hasnt and expects a no for an answer.

That's makes slipping it to him unacceptable (not that it ever was)

Obviously there is the possibility she is considering the subject to delicate to bring up.
But shes doesn't sound like the type that would be shy  about such.

So it just seems odd.

My suggestion that  she discuss it first,or buy some and set it in front of him.and discuss  .

It would be just them together discussing a perhaps  sensitive subject.

It's merely having communication about something she was already attempting.

She could have purchased thru you or other avenues and had on hand to discuss with him what she thought might be fun for them both.
(If he said no,I'm sure she could dispose of it)

I'd assume if she had presented her proposed purhase to you in this way your thoughts on it might be  slightly different (or not)  as you seem to know both of them well.


My opinion remains (same as yours) that slipping any drug to him unknown,evening it was  aspirin,is a huge no and breach of trust.

I did not assume she meant it maliciously,  more likely just not thinking it was a big deal.

But communicating with him  seems such an easy and obvious  thing that why she hadn't just came to question.

As far as the drug itself, admittedly I know nothing about it other than the basics you've outlined.

Since ads for it have come and gone on regular  media my assumption was it was readily available to those who needed it,and not difficult to come by for those using it recreationally as that's been a known use for many years.

I've never had any interest in it.

I understand those who do.

There may be a point in life I would be,but I tend to have the reverse issue.
