Wiz, I doubt you have any idea how popular Coming To America is when Neil sings it in concert. I've seen Neil Diamond perform several times in LA and Las Vegas.

Often when he performs Coming to America he will get a standing ovation for this song alone. I've seen members of the audience cry while he's singing this song.

The headline states 'the quality of life is on the decline'.  From what I'm seeing that is correct.  Nevertheless the dollar is still very strong, so an individual with enough accumulated wealth can exit the country and start again abroad and live pretty high on the hog...for now.  At $5.50 a gallon for gasoline, it changes the dynamic with a lot of things here. 

It seems Biden is trying to facilitate the tightening of the belt of US economic policy.  People aren't feeling as rich as they were a year ago....even if it was false back then.

I have a Russian Friend who has traveled extensively. When it comes to earning money, she says only in America can you make so much. Yes, we have a larger homeless population than ever before. But we also have a drug problem like never before. We have had run away housing cost. So, if you retire and never bought a house or saved any money you might have problem. Hard working people who will learn a job skill can earn a good living in the USA. If your creative and/or work extra hard you will likely do than that.

I would like to link 2 of the statements in your post.     
It is possible the quality of homegrown people has declined in the US to the point where it is harmful to our ability to compete.    A significant percentage of the population is either morbidly obese or using more drugs than ever.   This is in addition to the fact that our populace is greying, and our young are born with more disabilities than prior generations.   The ability to find homegrown creative and or hard working people is not as much as is needed.

Bring all these factors contributory factors together and I don't see the 'exceptional nation' that we try to promote ourselves as.

We have special housing for low income  disabled and elderly. Hospitals do a lot of free work for the poor and this is a big part of what makes health care so expensive for the rest of us. Nobody can be turned away from an emergency room because they cannot pay. Expensive long term health like cancer is consider on an induvial basis for the poor. I can receive a rent subsidy if I want to rent to poor singles mothers and others like that.

The system is less than perfect but then the top line what we earn is bigger making life better for most people.  No body healthy has to be poor in the USA. We have poor people because they will not learn job skills, will not show up to work, used drugs, come to the USA and do not speak English, will not learn English. It is true we have some people who are disabled. I have and I am presently renting to a disabled person because they received a enough to live on in a government pension.  I have had a tenant who got cancer and received free health care for it and was able to continue to pay me rent after he was no longer able to work. In your effort to dispute my postings you  end up making statements, which I know already the answers. First the various pictures, with people living on the street pavements, it has been known and published for many years that is a huge problem for your paradise.

Then you forget that I have personally visited several times your country.... and also that I have  a family living there who  could verify everything you post here, which I will do later.

Finally get it in your brain that we are not all liars and that we know nothing...... as you probaly believe...... I rather live in the UK than anywhere in USA!

Time to book a holiday as wife and I  NEED A GOOD BREAK....and sea water to play! I will better surprise her.......with my selection.......

The system is less than perfect but then the top line what we earn is bigger making life better for most people.  No body healthy has to be poor in the USA. We have poor people because they will not learn job skills, will not show up to work, used drugs, come to the USA and do not speak English, will not learn English. It is true we have some people who are disabled.

The not speaking English part isn't that big a deal in my opinion.    Drugs, which is a choice is a big problem.  Lazy and or entitled people another problem.  If we want to stay near the top, as a nation, we need younger blood from nations where people are hungry.  A lot of boomers don't like that the demographics are rapidly changing but we need to move forward despite their squealing.

Not speaking English isn't a big deal? If new immigrants to a country don't speak the local language(s) how are they going to get a job, get a better job, get an education? The US has a problem with illegals who mostly speak Spanish and little to no English. Canada has a much smaller problem with immigrants and a much much smaller group of illegals who speak Chinese and a few other Asian languages. If these people can't speak English they are going to be stuck in whatever menial job they can get in their own language.

As for taking in immigrants from other nations who are looking for a better life there's already talk that richer nations like the US, UK, EU, Canada and such are stealing talent from less developed countries thereby robbing the less developed countries of their future.

Around my parts there is a large group that speak Spanish, with just a little bit of English.  In business and work, they are able to work despite this disadvantage.  Generally speaking there is always somebody around that can bridge the language barrier and get the message across.   It is immensely more important that the work gets done.   Over the period of years, or longer, the Spanish speakers usually gain a working knowledge of English.  Some of the ones that didn't know anything at first start to learn over time, and bridge the gaps for the newer arrivals.  It's teamwork.   

The ones that choose to progress in the states learn the language, those that don't can still do ok, but are definitely limited.  That is their choice though. 

Insofar as the US taking other people's best workers, I think that is probably true.  Often the most motivated are the ones that take the risks of coming here illegally.  If they are motivated and strong enough to get here, they also often equally motivated to work hard and earn their keep.  At least that is what I've seen, with exceptions of course.

West Coast, I agree with you... Iam of the old school and I do not follow the internet ogling trent.

In my life I have never had the need to search or use the services of a "Belle de Jour" in which ever presentation, except the personal contact with other free spirits of the flower power period. When I finished high school, I passed tests with a Nationalised company and was posted to work at the very beautiful island of Corfu NW of Greece where, I spent more than 18 years, 1963 – 1980, before making the decision to move to UK, due to financial circumstances.

During the 60’s and 70’s, the first decade, at the time, was the period of free love and flower power, the island every summer, was flooded by young European tourists.

Actually Corfu was competing with the Spanish Island of Majorca for the 1st and 2nd place on British tourist arrivals.

Living on my own, without the presence of my widow mother, I was free to come and go as I pleased and then after a year of wasted time, chasing local girls, my luck changed.

I met a very beautiful woman from the North (Manchester) who was there for 1 month…..and of course she introduced me to the spirit of Free love, had a wonderful time together and she educated me accordingly while I was practising my English too. Actually, to my surprise, she also sent me a small present as a thank you for the wonderful holiday we had together. 5-6 years later I met my first English wife and my gallivanting summers and winters come to an end, she made sure of it, until we divorced in 1981 but by then I had already established my self in London. The rest is history and I never had the need meeting a Belle de Jour, I only saw the film, or visiting websites like the one you suggested…. Only Fans.

Of course like a gentleman always paid the bills when visiting restaurants with ladies and most of the time they compensate me well when they visited my place of abode.

After marrying my 19 yrs younger Russian wife, soon I become a pensioner…… and have no need for sites like Only Fans! so yes I am behind of morden times.
