Civilians Fleeing in Terror
« on: March 31, 2022, 10:49:21 AM »
This was early on in the War. A father and a son go back to get their three beloved pets, at least two of which were beautiful German Shepherds; probably purebreds.

When they see an oncoming Russian column the son urges the father to pull over. It is very obvious that they are civilians, and the Russians open fire on them. The son and one dog lived.

WARNING: graphic video RIP Oleh and two beloved pets. There are no words to express for the sons sadness.

If I was in a war zone with kids and trying to escape the last thing I would work about is the bloody pets!! I already discussed everything with my wife and a few situations.. the pets are not in the equation they are expendable.. And I certainly would not be risking my life for a bloody pet rabbit or something..

I told the wife depending on where the kids are in the event of a nuke strike what are plan will be and wether she will have time to go looking for them. Kids here have also been given the drill if wife calls them in the event we have to take to the hills.. estimated time to get back home and time we will be leaving if your not with us your on your own..simple..

A wise choice to have hit kits ready and SHTF plans established / reviewed just in case. Yesterday's 'unlikely' can become tomorrow's 'probably' during the night. An ounce of paranoia is worth a pound of survivalism.

Manny says the Russians are not deliberately killing civilians .

There was a video shown on Euro News  yesterday, where an elderly couple in a car were deliberately aimed at and fired upon by a Russian Tank..they were both killed.

They'd driven round a bend in the road and stopped when they saw the Tank confronting them.

it is good to have a plan, in these times.
my pets, except for the fish, are in the equation.  the one dog is a retriever, and will be useful in a SHTF situation, even if just a guard.  the yap yap, a small spitz, tells everyone about every intruder within a city block, he sometimes sleeps in his kennel so the rest of us can sleep.  there is plenty of food for all in the family, including useful 'pets'.  well, come to think of it, the fish are part of the equation, pet food in a pinch.

Worst case scenario I will not be staying in apartment .. in this case every thing is gone .. business, computers.. possessions .. they very second that scenario happened a whole new life starts .. there will be no such thing as internet, mobile hones, nothing.. all finished that very second .. its survival mode only..

It is war!!! Things happen.. lots of things that are not very nice..I dont expect some young German conscript in WW2 was expecting to be at a Nazi extermination camp gassing jews millions of them.. It is not even worth talking about atrocities of war.. these things will never stop and always happen..

I think there’s a misunderstanding between Russian soldiers being ordered to open fire on innocent civilians, as Tex keeps telling us and either rogue or jumpy Russian soldiers on the front line, firing at anything that moves.

There is a difference.

I agree. To people like Chelseaboy, Tex, Andrew99 and Contrarian, this simple concept doesn't compute. They can't see the difference. It's why social media is so full of nonsense, folks like that don't grasp what they see, don't think logically and they put their own spin on it instead.

Well the UK Government yesterday sanctioned the "Butcher of Mariupol " the Russian General in charge of the mass shelling/bombing of Mariupol.

That would suggest they agree with me.

They also suggested that Saddam Hussain had an arsenal of Nukes .. when actually all he had was 5 catapults and 3 bow and arrows .. aaa they also suggested AND advised NOT to attend the World Cup in Russia JUST incase you get stabbed to death. They also suggested Russia is a racist country so if your a colored guy be careful again you have a chance of getting stabbed to death.. :'(

Don't preach at me from your double wide. You're getting overexcited again the last couple of days I notice. Since you're so convinced your cause is righteous and just, why don't you get your arse on a plane and offer your services to the brave Azov battalion? They're running out of foreign cannon fodder. Let the karmic law of Darwinism do its thing.

A lot of nervous young blokes there, gun in hand, first time in a conflict.

Aye its easy to point fingers, sitting behind a keyboard, in a safe warm house.

For all we know, these young Russian soldiers or their friends had been ambushed earlier that day and then these two poor blokes come driving round the corner in their blacked out mini van. It doesn't make it right but when one goes into survival mode, you'll tend to shoot first and ask questions later. War is brutal.

Better trained soldiers with a bit of experience, might not have reacted this way.

When the enemy is using any form of transport it can get it's hands on, or any other form of subterfuge, better trained soldiers would shoot first, then ask questions...

One should also remember that the Ukranian politicians/idiots have armed untold numbers of civilians...

Poor Russians invading a country, some might be a tad nervous with being their first time. Maybe let them off with the first kill like a child or something.

You seem to seriously lack self-awareness . (:)

Anyway, back to the title of the tread and the civilians of Bucha didn't have the chance to flee the Russian terrorists.

Liberating Ukrainian troops were appalled to find the bodies of civilians lying everywhere in the streets of Bucha, many with their arms tied, where they'd been executed by the Russian terrorists.

In any conflict like this civilian casualties are not  simply fake news. They occur.

Are some reports ,photos ,or vids from.a different time and place or misrepresented ? Certainly

To those making light of the fact there are civilian casualties, just be glad its not your loved ones that are in harms way.

To those pretending russia(or for that matter  ,any country)  is incapable of such, get a grip.

Russia has a long history of it. Chechnya
Grozny, Kazakstan, Georgia.

We can show tons of examples of the west also.

If its limited to cough* mistakes or some bad apples within the ranks,it doesnt change anything for the victims or for the membwrs here with family there under duress.

Russia is capable and has done so in the past.
Russian troops can have segmente of  bad actors and has had in the past.

Media bias and spin doesn't change dead civilians.

A tad bit of reality would be nice.

The u.s.has certainly had those  issues,
and they have also convicted and sent both us troops and pmc members acting under u.s. control.to.prison.

Maybe we have decorated a war criminal or two,I dont doubt it at all,in fact im.certain of it

But putin isnt the second coming of christ
Neo nazi and war criminal Utkin was honored at a Kremlin reception.

Im sure there is a list of the soldiers russia has held accountable and imprisoned of war crimes in chechnya ,goergia, donbass, Syria. ?

How many of you have actually seen the end results of this type of conflict?
Youve seen bombed out hulls of what used to be cities and villages, seen people begging food and water   at the road sides and in refugee camps i suppose?? Kids missing limbs or part of their faces. Some of your*bad apples*  stomping in a toddlers head because he was annoyed

Ive seen beggers blind in one eye be treated like shit,as it was self inflicted to gain sympathy. Old women sarcastically  saying dont give  that one any money he should have the convictiin to do both eyes
(They put flies under their eyelids to cause infection, and turns the eye cloudy blue grey so to  make it obvious they are blinded)

Have some empathy, as I doubt half of you can  barely imagine and were certainly born into better conditions no matter how poor you were starting out..

Smells like Serbia.

Remember, the Russians were not retreating, there was no Ukrainian victory, and there was an agreed reduction in activity and a drawdown of Rusian troops.

This story does not fit the facts that we know about. What has happened here we do not know. However, given that the Russian forces withdrew voluntarily in order to help with peace negotiations and the Russians were already in control, why would they massacre a load of people and then leave them to be found?
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!
