Does anyone know what is actually going on in Kharkov?  i read reports (seen photos)the place has been badly hit/destoyed and even a nuclear facility has been bombed?

This is a very large city and i cant imagine what has happened.

 I was in Kharkov 2020 and met people there including Mila(who runs dating service).

I fear for the people there and especially for the ones i met. I cant believe this has happened!!

I have been to the city also and had met people there. I am not currently in touch with anybody there so all I would know is what I can find on YouTube and in the news.  My girlfriend has no connection there. I know this is no help, but I did not want you to feel none of us read your post.

I’ve tried but I can’t find anything where the Russians (official sources) have admitted that they’re telling their armed forces to shoot unarmed civilians. One POW has made claims published in a UK tabloid but that’s not exactly proof.

No doubt some idiots have been trigger happy but I really don’t think that these are orders coming from above.

There's an easy test to see if something is likely true or false.

1) Assume the people involved are rational.
2) Ask yourself if the story makes sense on a rational level.
3) Does the story fit with what we know from a higher level?
4) Is the story consistent with other known facts.
5) What is the motivation of the source - there is always motivation!

So, in the case of these fictional 'atrocities', taking, for example, shelling or killing civilians trying to use the humanitarian corridors. Let's consider.

1) It is clear that the Russian operation has been designed to minimise casualties (contrast with the way the US and NATO go about war!)
2) The Russian state has made it clear that its goal is to minimise casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
3) The humanitarian corridors were set up at the insistence of the Russian State against opposition from the Ukrainian side.
4) The use of humanitarian corridors slows down the Russian operations and gives an opportunity for the Ukrainian forces to regroup and resupply (where supplies are available). This is not to the advantage of the Russian forces.
5) The stories about problems with humanitarian corridors are not consistent across Ukraine. In many places things have gone pretty well. If there are orders in place, it is clear that they are NOT to kill civilians. Otherwise, there would be either no corridors or people using them would have been killed everywhere!
6) The motivation of the reports is to harm the Russian cause. The stories originate from Kievan sources who are trying to defeat the Russians, bring in other countries to their aid or at the least to harm the reputation of the Russians and, quite likely to dissuade the Ukrainian people from using the corridors - although that last point is almost certainly a local choice and action.

So, does it make sense that the Russians would be seeking to render the humanitarian corridors useless by killing the people who use them?
Of course not.

If the Russians wanted to kill civilians they'd follow the NATO/US strategy and bomb every city, town, village and settlement so that little was standing and the rubble covered the bodies of countless victims.

The same technique I outlined above can be used to analyse pretty much any story in any context in any part of the world. I'd consider such a skill set basic to the education of any person living in the modern world.

No different then the lies being said by the Ukrainian military for public consumption.

To think that either side's military is going to give real information in their public postings is laughable. It will always be spun to make their opponents into evil baby killers and to make their own into heros of the people.

It must be so because the "objective" Russian Defence Ministry has made no further updates since then on casualties.

However they're doing so well Mad Vlad is now publicly begging for Middle Eastern nutjobs to join the war on the Russian side..the Serbians must have turned him down

There are 12,000 Chechens wishing to join the sortie FOC, according to Kadrov who are being held back at this time...
