American female basketball star arrested in Moscow
« on: March 07, 2022, 09:06:04 AM »
Timing is a little suspicious, but it's well known that other people including Russians bring in vapes through customs.

There was a teacher arrested back in August for the same offence. You do not want to be arrested at the airport. On the street you can still bribe your way out, even though that is getting much harder to do. Just not at the airport.

From the link: "Former Pentagon official: Russia could use WNBA star Brittney Griner as 'high-profile hostage'"

She's a WNBA player.  That's not "high profile."

Russia doesn't play when it comes to drugs.  Unlucky for her to be pinched at this particular time, but really, don't bring illegal shit in.

Yes, from what I have gathered it happened somewhere in the first week of Feb.

I have been through customs at SVO at least 30-35 times and have never seen any narco dogs in baggage claim nor while walking out pass the green line security check.

I have seen 1 once coming out of the back baggage area which is where they usually have them sniffing for any contraband in people's checked in luggage, but not people's carry on.

Also, from the video here it looks more like the security you go through when departing, not arriving.

Actually, she a much bigger star in Russia than the States. The girl pulls 7 figures here in Russia dwarfing her salary in the US.

However, you're right, it is still the WNBA. :)

If you want to see the dogs in action, pay attention to the plane you're boarding. When the cart with luggages arrives to the plane, thats when dogs jump around on the luggage before it enters the plane.

I think thats intentional and they're watching the passengers to see if anyone gets nervous.

When I saw this story it gave me cause to stop and think. OK, she was carrying hash oil, or at the least a load of containers with remnants in them. (incidentally, who on god's green earth carries around their empties!)

Anyway, I routinely carry around vape liquid with CBD in it. Absolutely legal in most places, but over here - not so sure, but I'd never thought about it before. I did not want to get caught in these times of enhanced caution with a 10ml bottle of something legal in the UK but not here.

Fortunately, I am OK. The stuff is legal, but expensive here, so we're golden. ANd I always have it in my carryon in a little Ziploc bag for the nice ladies and gentlemen on security to check and sniff.
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

Many moons ago I worked airport ops clearing large inbound shipments to the US from Europe and South America almost daily.

Part of the job was to go with the customs agent and dog to the back baggage area, sign some documentation and watch the dog go to work.

Seem to me the dog had to be directly over any contraband in the bag/luggage to get a whiff as there were a couple of times when I witnessed the dog light up and go crazy when it detected something. Kinda interesting how they worked when you see it for the first time..

I have a friend/colleague, that brought weed to Canada and got caught in
the airport by a yellow lab. I asked if he knew that they had weed in Canada.
An actual celebrity you give her hash oil to the lowest member of her entourage
to carry. WNBA stars are not celebrities.

FSUW are not for entry level daters. FSUW don't do vague FSUW like a man of action so be a man of action  If you find a promising girl, get your butt on a plane. There are a hundred ways to be successful and a thousand ways to f#ck it up
Kiss the girl, don't ask her first.
