Hank the Tank

This poor bear got addicted to human food and human garbage and blew up to 500 lbs. A normal black bear is 100 to 300 lbs. If he were eating only berries and other grub in the forest he would be a lot healthier. They say he isn't mean at all and after he breaks into a house he just sits there and eats whatever he can find. Residents in South Lake Tahoe, CA have called the Police at least 100 times on this gentle giant. However if he keeps it up he might get euthanized, which residents don't want. Hopefully they can catch him and either relocate him very far away or put him into a bear shelter where he will end up slimming down once he gets back on an appropriate diet.

I was in that city a few months ago and noticed a black bear walking around like he owned the place. He wasn't as big as Hank though.

When we lived in Colorado our neighbor, new to the state had an apricot tree. Angel Eyes
told them it was time to pick them and they said maybe they will get around to it. The very
next night a bear went through a cyclone fence like it was butter and harvested several
of their apricots for them.

They asked Angel Eyes to pick the tree bare. We had tasty apricot jam and syrup to put
on her blini for quite some time.
