Tragedy in Kentucky

Several states were just hit by hurricanes, with Kentucky taking the brunt of it. Sadly over 100 people have lost their lives.

If one sees the level of devastation it is simply amazing and shocking. Many of the communities are rural and quite poor. Presently the death toll is still under 100 but it is suspected that it will rise.

I suppose it was jumping the gun but the reality is the total number far exceeds that when you consider 74 confirmed deaths already and over 100 still missing.

Either way it is a horrible tragedy, especially for people who are already in poverty who will take longer to recover to where they were before.

The good thing is that most of the survivors are pulling together and determined to rebuild from this event.
