The suggestion that ancient Greeks reached America before Columbus may seem far-fetched, but certain researchers think otherwise.

The idea is based entirely on a new examination of a dialogue written by the Greek historian Plutarch, who lived from 46 to 119 AD.

Dr. Ioannis Liritzis, a professor of archaeonomy (the physics of archaeology) at the University of the Aegean studied Plutarch’s text and came up with a theory that ancient Greeks did indeed reach America.

Plutarch’s text, “On the Face Which Appears in the Orb of the Moon,” commonly known as “De Facie.” In the dialogue, Lambrias asks Sylla the Carthaginian to retell a story he had heard from the servants of the temple of Cronus in Carthage.

Sylla tells Lambrias about a traveler who visited the temple after returning from a long journey to a distant, vast continent.

Some also believe the earth is flat.....

Our Greek hero is bigging up the Greeks.
Strange that he saw fit to abandon his homeland and emigrate.

As usual you open your ugly gob without reading first the story and pay attention to details.!

If your were clever and had any history education, you would know that the Ancient Greeks were a seafaring nation who have created many colonies around the Mediterranean and the Black Sea and even reached the south of UK. Just to remind you that the old name of Crimea was Tavrida and of course you must know the name Odessa, where it comes from. All western lands near the sea and also North Turkey were full of Greek colonies. The south Of Italy and Sicily still have today Greek villages and who do you think discovered Marseilles in France?

As about my personal history..... it's nothing special!

At the age of 25 years old, I married an English Lady, had 2 sons and due to the huge influx of tourism, cost of living in the island of Corfu, were we were living, went over the roof. The rent of our house was  costing us nearly 80% of my monthly salary...... Moved to UK started my own Travel business... and in year 2, I managed to buy my own house, and both my sons were University educated.

My older son got a PhD in computers working now for Yahoo in SFO.... and the younger son got a Master diploma from LSE and works in the City.  Later I was divorced from my English wife and in June 2008 married a Russian woman who still tolerates me......

Well I am only an old age uneducated pensioner, know nothing unlike you, who you are lucky to have a splendid  brain and a dazzling personality and you have not stopped impressing us with your brilliant posts.

HAPPY NOW?

What do you have to say about yourself?
