GB News: The Anti Woke News Channel

For any Brits (and anyone else interested) that doesn't know, Andrew Neil has left the BBC and started his own news channel.



A channel for the anti-woke, those who don't want fake news and those who despise the BBC mostly.

The pinkos and lefties have been up in arms. The Guardian is in meltdown of course, the woke brigade on Twitter have been pressuring their advertisers not to "fund hate", etc. Some pulled their ads without seeing any content, so Andrew did this:

Like any channel, its a bit clunky and has had some tech and sound issues. Mostly being ironed out now. They have had a few high profile hirings from other channels, and a few unknowns. There's a segment each day called Woke Watch. 

Pinkos are likening it to a UK version of Fox, which wouldn't be a bad thing IMO. GB News reject the comparison. Andrew has gotten some good interviews in already, the chancellor, Big Nige, Lord Sugar, etc. Whatever it is, its not the BBC so its the new default channel in our house.

Boris has refused to be interviewed by him in recent times, even when he was at the BBC. Make of that what you will.

I just noticed this thread. It's always good to have a news channel which doesn't just regurgitate lame stream propaganda.

Because previously you referred to Fox News as Faux news. 

Which in all honesty when it comes to US foreign policy it can be. But on domestic policy Fox News is a drastically needed counterbalance to the constant lies, innuendo, and downright crap pushed by most other "news" channels in the USA.

You’re right. But that was before I discovered Tucker Carlson. I do like his stuff and I seem to agree with most of it.

Getting the truth from main stream media is becoming a massive challenge.
Follow the moneya nd you figure out the story, sad as that is.
Upstart should be decent. Atleast for awhile.

It is all fake. Fox news is only concern about ratings. Truth is secondary and only needs to be enough to feel real. They know the phycology of right wing thinkers and write stories they will like. Create fake disasters and conspiracies in the making in order to get more viewers. Carson Tucker delivers the stories his writers produce with such feeling that is feels so real and this makes his rating go up. Other channels in USA channels are own by socialist. Well they only hire socialist writers and broadcasters. Indian news, Australiana news, Chinese news and Russian news all has a mission to convince people of their point of view and the real story is secondary. What used to be news decades ago is now just propaganda and whose news you watch is whose propaganda you most likely find pleasurable.

So Nigel Farage now has a show on GB News 4 nights a week, and it's rather good (its topped Sky and BBC News sometimes already. I've had quite a few comments featured there. 

Anyway, they now have this feature called Farage at Large. It's the show done live out and about somewhere in a different place each week, interviews, Q&A, etc. On Feb 4th they're in Blackpool, which seems like a jolly evening out, so wifey and I are going.
