Deleting WhatsApp and moving to alternatives.

With all that’s going on with tech censorship now out in the open and brazenly displaying their true colours on top of the move to collect more data in conjunction with FB, I feel the time has come to disassociate from social media controlled by big tech and move to more niche alternatives.

How many of you are considering your options now and what alternatives would fill the gap?

I already have a signal account and will be on Telegram soon.

Signal & Telegram are good alternatives on whatsapp.

Signal is more privacy-focussed than Telegram, but it was lacking features. It is playing catchup in an incredible rate though , so soon there may no longer be any reason to not use Signal.

I like WeChat. Its Chinese and heavily policed and monitored for Chinese, but I can't see they're too interested in what westerners do on it unless you spout off like Loyalman on there - in which case they'll boot you off.

I have Threema too, it costs two or three quid to download IIRC.

Im making a new site eventually I hope by end of year Called the Russia project kind of a home site for every thing I do with a mini blog and contact sort of thing should anyone need to contact me.. as soon as I have this up and running .. probably end of the year after the tours are completed I will be totally disappearing 

There will be no frigging stupid social links on the site its going to be totally 100% social media free .. my Facebook will be closed.. every business page in Facebook will be closed I do not need any of the shit!

Good friends will have my number and Chat form on the new site .. if you don't have that I do not need to hear from you

I actually frigging hate Facebook even though I guess you could say Im active there.. but I see what is going on with all of it they are hoodwinking everyone to actually believe you cannot live without updating your business page ?/ How do they work that out then? Also you MUST get more "Likes" If you do not you will fail in business and your web site will not be socially respected .. what a load of bullshit! But they are very clever they goy billions of idiots brainwashed into thinking they NEED social links and all that crap..

My dating site I do not actually need any social links or social media crap.. Its going to be the same on the tours once im up and running all will be removed.. good riddance!
