The UK Boat People
« on: August 20, 2020, 10:25:10 AM »
Having observed a lot of ignorance re the UK's handling of migrants seeking asylum .. and my warning that leaving the EU could mean an INCREASE in numbers ( we are seeing that increase ) I thought I should start a thread to explain the current situation and what MIGHT happen if the UK fails to get an agreement with the EU / individual EU nations

Current rules / scenarios covered here:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46758600

and here:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-53734793

Let's be realistic ..

What 'incentive' will the EU nations have to prevent these crossings ?  ... other than the UK paying millions, if no agreement is reached with the EU ?

The numbers crossing are up nearly ten-fold since July last year

THIS poster was VERY clear... the voters in Dover were promised 'Brexit' would see and end to this and *I* pointed out that was likely a fat fib ...

We shall know, soon ..

The party members have left Boris, and Priti by extension, in no doubt that this is an issue they have to solve.

France is demanding another £30m to play ball.

My suggestion was an import duty on French goods if they didn't play ball for £0. It's not rocket science to fix. We intercept the boats and drop them back off at Calais. The ones that arrive, we detain them, round them up, take them back to France. They'll soon stop coming if we did that.

Boris knows he will pay at the polls if he doesn't fix it. But voters know if Labour ever got in again they'd open the floodgates like last time and we'd be faced with a Germany/Sweden level invasion.

Manny,

Did you read the Torygraph on Wednesday....?

Governments are rarely able to survive the stench of incompetence

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/08/18/governments-rarely-able-survive-stench-incompetence/

The list is long and getting longer by the day.

You, as ever, have misread on whose foot the boot is on... re the boat migrants... Certainly not 'ours'..

Your article is apparently about exams and the last paragraph makes no sense. Wipe the rabid foam from your mouth and try again.

))

It's just an opinion and well done on the Torygraph for posting it.

From caving in to the US in Huawei, exam results to removing organisations the Tories set up re Health and appointing a non medical head of the new body... the govt is doing 'great'...

And what about the boat people? I did see some pics of a boat full of lazy fu**** the other day.. not a women or child on board? No where to be seen!!!

There is a very strong current the other side of Liverpool that goes straight the way to Canada.. I would suggest towing each and every boat up there and pushing them out to that current .. hopefully they will perish on route across the Atlantic..

Cos lets face the truth.. most are just idol *snip*s wanting benefits in the UK it is simple as that.. my old man had to work for a bloody living something these buggers have never heard of..
I support no government anywhere, ever, never. No institution, No religion!!
