Russian Coronavirus Vaccine
« on: August 10, 2020, 12:43:32 PM »
There's never been a tool in the bag to fight any coronavirus in history.

Apart from Russia's vaccine they reckon will be launched in October.

Quote
Last month, Russian scientists said that early-stage trials of an adenovirus-based vaccine developed by the Gamaleya Institute had been completed and that the results were a success.

Even the corrupt BBC are reporting this, through clenched teeth of course.

Naturally, the BBC also threw this nugget of fake news in:

Quote from: BBC Propaganda
Last month the UK, US and Canada security services said a Russian hacking group had targeted various organisations involved in Covid-19 vaccine development, with the likely intention of stealing information.
Trip Reports: Links to my travels in Russia, Estonia, North Korea, South Korea, China and the US are >>here<<

Look what the American media makes some people believe:
Putin often threatens to strike US with nuclear weapons.

You're wasting your time Manny. According to Billy, rubbish little countries cant accomplish anything without the might and brains of the US. Anything produced outside of North America is automatically substandard.

If testing shows risk to be acceptable and the vaccine is effective then why would one choose to not use it?

The vaccine is going into a phase 3 trial at this time. If thus large scale testing proves that the vaccine is OK it will go into production for large scale use.

It's a simple yes or no answer and for me it's a big no. By normal standards, the testing for safety and effectiveness for the Russian vaccine were not met. I wouldn't even rush to take a Western vaccine if it came out early next year. Although they'd have more testing done compared to the Russian vaccine, the testing for every vaccine being developed still falls short of what is normally required. I will wait till a bunch of vaccines are administered around the world and when they make an announcement which is the safest and has decent effectiveness, I'll go for that.

Once a few thousand others have had it and if nobody has turned into a vegetable, why not?

If Putin's daughter has been done, he must be confident enough.

What happened to the good old US of A and how its vaccine will be first?  :whist11:

If I were Putin, I'd make it very expensive to the US and supply conditional on removal of sanctions.

As encouraging as this sounds I'll still wait a few months to make sure that peoples ears don't start to fall off. I will do the same for any US vaccine.

We've been told she took the vaccine to get citizens to buy into the vaccine. What was injected in her may be a different story.

Most vaccines probably won't have any short term health effects. Maybe they'll discover the vaccine don't mix well with other drugs that people are on but short term, they all should be safe. What I worry about is how the vaccines mess with our organs and immune system down the road. Often we see prescription drugs recalled and class action suits against the makers of the drug and those drugs been through trials 7 years  yet only later they discover the drug does more harm than they thought.

You DO understand this 'vaccine' is unlikely to be

1/ able to offer long term immunity

2/ may not work in ( not a few cases)

Me, my wife and other people I know wanted to go on an international vacation this year. Other nations have forced us to vacation and spend our money at home.

Billy, 'we've been told' is a weasel phrase that means you're imagining stuff or repeating programing fed to you.

Putin has two daughters, from context, the potential trial participant is the one who is a pretty eminent endocrinologist. That means several things:
1) that you do not understand the difference between being a volunteer for a trial program and using the vaccine as a member of the general population after the trials are complete.
2) that she is much, much, brighter and better informed than you are and will know exactly what the parameters of the trial are and understands fully the objectives of the trial and the risks involved.
3) that she has informed expectations that do not concern her to the level of choosing to not volunteer.
4) that you are a grossly insensitive and stupid man lacking empathy and respect given that you are telling us that a father is willing to risk the health of his daughter to 'sell' this vaccine. You might consider such as a likelihood, decent men would not.
5) that given the foregoing, my respect for you as a person and 'man' has fallen even further given your callous attitude.

You are a singularly ill-informed man, unable to think and clearly lacking in empathy and human feeling. A sad, sad, little man. Be ashamed of yourself.
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

A tear runs down my cheek. How can I go on living without your approval? Andrew, you're part of the Sheeple or useful idiots as they call them in the FSU. Keep believing everything they tell you and spread the word as if it's gospel.

Russia has only 100 people dying from Covid everyday. Now they want to rush and vaccinate millions of people? Is risking the health of millions worth it? Putin thinks gambling Russian lives are worth it.

The vaccine is going into a phase 3 trial at this time. If thus large scale testing proves that the vaccine is OK it will go into production for large scale use.

There is no phase 3 trial. The vaccine has been approved for use after being tested on a few dozen phase two volunteers. The large scale testing will be on the general population starting with medical professionals and teachers. Will Putin even give them an option to opt out?

We already have a vaccine credibility problem in the USA. Billy has already said he did not plan to take any vaccine because of safety issues with the current phase 3 trials. Already half the country does not want to take the vaccine with the phase three trails because they feel it is being rushed. To think a meaningful number of people in this country would take the vaccine without phase three trial is just not understanding what is happening in the USA. We have had vaccine failures in the past and no one wants an untried vaccine. Yes the vaccine Russia is making may work just fine . Putin is doing this for political gain and is taking the risk. If it works then he is a genus and if it does not then RT news will cover it up.

So your untested vaccine from February is the same or better than the Russian one in August......simply because it’s from the US?

Also, are you suggesting Russia didn’t have the bones of this vaccine in February?
