Has Europe got any balls??
« on: July 12, 2020, 05:04:23 AM »
I wonder if France will have the balls to tell trump to sling his frigging hook!!

I would.. Putin would also.. but as we all know most European governments are all mouth no action.. nothing more than a pair of wet knickers..

If I was in power there would be security checks on all Americans arriving in Europe, and you would need a Visa to enter there would be a whole pile of other stuff also.. I would also slap sanctions on the US for many things in fact I would raise tariffs to 99% for all US products .. who needs the plastic shit.. I dont need an I phone and I dont need Starbucks coffee cup.. thanks..

The UK has plans to levy a similar tax.

France could reciprocate on US products.

The trouble is Europe is dependent on the USA and the place would look like a Ukraine in a few years.  If they had any balls they would not be in such a position.  Trade  benefits Europe much more than USA. You stop trade and Europe would sink.  Other wise they would told Trump to get lost a long time ago.  Hint just incase you do not know this. No one in Europe likes Trump!!! Russia likes Trump so there is less propaganda against the USA because he is president. So on RUA you guys complained less about the USA now. You puppets will likely start back as soon as Russia turns on the propaganda machine again. If Trump loses that will be soon.

Some European nations what to tax some things American and Trump will respond with taxing some things European. Sounds fair to me. A Democratic President wouldn't have done anything.

Point being that Google, Amazon, et al shouldnt be allowed to operate tax free in European countries. They are draining money from the local economy. They need to pay taxes like any other business.

Manny, those companies were operating legally in Europe for many years. Now European governments want to change the rules. If it's a fair tax, it would punish everybody equally but it seems it will punish American companies the most so in fairness Trump will punish companies from nations who punish American companies the most. If those nations rethink how they are to tax companies to make things fair, Trump will rethink his unfair tax/tariffs.

They operate by circumventing tax rules. They are tax evading companies. The fact most of them are American is neither here nor there.

Trump doesn't want huge American companies taxed. Probably many of them are party donors.

They'll get taxed eventually.

Probably many of them are party donors.

Trump cares about America, American jobs, and American companies. He doesn't do what he's doing because those companies are donors. Google's search engine is designed to feed us left leaning stories and opinions which is bad for Trump and the Republican party. Owner of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, and Trump regularly criticize each other in the open and Bezos owns the Washington Post which puts out many fake stories on Trump and was the main driver in pushing the Russian collusion story in an effort to ruin Trump's presidency. Many of the people running those companies would like to bring Trump down but Trump will fight on their behalf if it's good for the country.

You've done a lot of business and you know some people negotiate more than others to get as much as they can out of a deal. Trump is like that. You probably don't like dealing with those people. I don't like when it happens to me but Trump  is America's asshole. We don't know all the details of the digital tax but our people will talk to your people and show why it's not fair and your people can prove why it is fair and there will be an agreement in the end or everybody will be taxing everything.

I can't work out the problem here!!

Who needs Google?? Surely some country in Europe can make a search engine? Like Russia has Yandex .. It cannot be that hard.. then the US can keep Google over there? As for Star bucks ?? Please do not tell me there is no one in Europe capable of making such a brand for Europe??? I mean its not exactly rocket science is it? Then we don't need Starr bucks ?

It is all very easy really just a matter of putting it into action.. actually Europe does not need much from the US all it needs is some clever people to clone the US stuff for Europe.. If I was the PM I would invest money in creating several global brands to compete against the US.. what is up with people!!

Surely someone in Europe can make "Bucks burgers" And "Burger Man" Tax the hell out of the US brands .. and take over???

Why has this not happened.. Are people stupid?? European governments should be helping fund this sort of stuff to give mass employment and more local tax from European brands.. Who the hell needs Burger king when you got Burger man?

Burger King used to be owned by British entertainment conglomerate Grand Metropolitan since 1989. They were yours until sold and now owned by a group of Brazillian, American, and Canadian companies.

More importantly than creating quality or inexpensive products is marketing the product. A guy may make the best hamburger in the world but if he doesn't know how to market his product, he's not going to grow much. There are other factors involved into expanding a company worldwide and most people can't accomplish that on their own.

Yes, I’ve read Trumps books and know the type. In business I’d be unlikely to deal with such a bloke.

The French went in at 3% I think. If they settle on 1%, that opens the door for the UK and the rest of the EU to do the same. Then later it will be increased.

It’s been a big subject here for a while that the Amazon, Google, eBay, Starbucks and the like pay no tax.

Certainly as retail High Street collapses post virus the digital market places that are taking the spend will come under much closer scrutiny and will definitely end up being taxed.

I know you have Rambo who eats bullets for snacks and climbed up mountains with both legs tied up.. but we got Billy Bunter and with a little weight loss.. 2 hours under the sun bed and a few weeks in the gym and some good marketing he would be our Rambo..
