Ok guys Now why?

https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-defense/3056432-1100-russian-tanks-330-warplanes-along-border-with-ukraine.html

I stopped reading when they declared crimea a "groundforce aircraft carrier" with upto 32.500 personell. Before 2014, Russia was allowed 30.000 people, so they increased it with less than 10% impressive.

 :Zzzzsleep:

A number of years ago there was such a report. They keep on appearing on a regular basis. It is the so-called Dog Days so it keeps a bunch of people busy.

Without doubt if Russia wanted to do a full scale invasion they could do so and we know about it after it started. I suspect though there are enough smart people in the Kremlin who accept the present status qua and can go for the long game.

The Ukrainian President is the new guy. The biggest guy on the playground just got in his face to see how'd he'd react.
Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776. If you want to stop the war in Ukraine, fix elections, stop medical tyranny and forced vaccinations, lower inflation and make America and the world a better place, get Trump back into power. The Democrats and Republicans have shown they can't do the job. They are good at robbing us and getting people killed in non stop wars.

This is the usual silliness.

The headline here is actually "Russian military in Russia". The well publicised Kavkaz 2020 exercises.

Which is where they usually are - at home. Pity the US can't say the same.  :fighting0025:

I did not originally read this in the US news. I originally read this in Ukraine news.

No country would be comfortable with that large of force position in numerous places on their border and troops position in such a hostel way.

If Russia did that on the Chinese border all hell would break lose or if the Chinese did that on the Russian border it would be the same thing. It is just because Ukraine is a weak country they feel they can step on it any time they want.

You’re complaining Russia holds military exercises in Russia?

The Kremlin either ordered in or lost control of its forces in Ukraine in August '14.

Those on the Russian side of the border in the Rostov region know you're as rotten at fibbing as the Kremlin.

Otherise, you're telling me that 'the rebels' - who were surrounded in Donetsk and nearly so in Lughansk  'found' vehicles and men - 'entered Russia' to drive around UA govt forces to open up a new front via Russia and the road from Taganrog to Mariupol? ( August '14)

Guess what ?

Ukraine remembers what happened last time 'exercises' took place on the border..

When Russia had wargames up north, NATO pumped more money into the Baltic nations and Poland. They are pumping more money and hardware into Ukraine. Putin can observe how many friends Ukraine has at a time like this. There's a reason behind every major military move. Mobilizing thousands of tanks and men isn't cheap.

Indeed, NATO forces regularly practice on Russia’s borders.

The shoe is now on the other foot.

Nothing like this and what are you talking about the little enclave? Nothing like that or that size and not near anything important to Russia? Why does Russia not practice on NATOs border. Why Ukraine?  The only thing the enclave is for is to harass European countries and to be able to destroy the UK islands quickly if and when they want to.  It contributes nothing to the economy of Russia.
