Perhaps a week or two back I read an editorial in one of the very pro EU papers. The author tried to make a case for the fact that the EU has foundered, because there is no common language. In fact there is some legitimacy to this claim. 

The solution would be adopt one common language for the entire 'Republic'. He proposed English.    I read the article a second time and realized this was not published on the 1st of April.

Yes he has a point. No he is a delusinional as a poster who claims to be the worlds best known whale. He knows everything but is an expert on nothing.

Surely they just need to tax the rich more and randomly hand it over to the poor, so long as it benefits themselves? Maybe send them back a small proportion of their taxation and tell them to build stuff so long as they put a sign outside saying it was generously paid for by someone else.

Start up some kind of unaccountable committee, who make the rules they want and punish those who don't agree with them, under a banner of equality and democracy. Talking about democracy, they could fly that flag high, so they look morally impeccable but if needed, they can ignore a democratic vote the committee felt threatening to their existence. They could simply spread misinformation and tell them to vote again....and again. Let's call it a union of freedom, except when you don't want to be in it anymore!!

They could remove individual power and sovereignty through taxation, writing their own laws and then voting on it. Harnessing all that power for a bunch of overpaid, unelected, unaccountable, in transparent greedy socialists.

Oh wait......hang on........
