Death rate in USA and UK dropping!

We were losing 500 people per day in the USA and close to the same number in UK. For the last two days we are only losing and average of 250 per day. Today was 278 but yesterday was only 230 or so. I can not remember exactly. It is interesting that they letting doctors used drugs to make test and we are seeing a drop in Deaths. So far I have not seen an article on it. Maybe someone else can explain why the death rate is going down. Today UK only lose 200 hundred.

Who.int has a daily situation update section and the UK has gone 115, 181, 260 ( 27th-29th reports )   ..hardly 500 / day .. yet..

The US is WAY above the logarithmic curve of Italy / Spain re new cases and we'd better hope that the social distancing measures work ..

I have also wondered what the actual number is. Studying the numbers that Wiz posted and BillyB has noted there is one fact. The actual numbers start on January 10th of this year. The Wuhan virus was certainly present in China, maybe even months before.

I am not talk about infections but deaths. On Friday UK had 462 deaths and the USA had 516 or close to that number then on Saturday UK had 200 deaths and USA are 230 then on Sunday USA had 278 and UK had just over 200 deaths. Up until Friday death rate increased everyday both in USA and UK. WE went from 1000 deaths to two thousand in two days. The rate we were gowning we should be 4000 deaths but we are only at 2500 deaths.  I am not sure what happened.

Now UK deaths for last 24 hours only 180. The number will change every few hours.

FACTUAL figures for the UK were listed for the 27-29th March .. no '500' for any day ... 'We' have had 209 to your 444 in the latest new daily deaths figures supplied to WHO - which are ( in the west ) largely accurate, don't you think ?

IF you meant total numbers on Friday.. ( deaths total) the UK was on 759 and the US 252

'Your' curve is on an even  SCARIER logarithmic trend than the UKs .. simply because .. despite all the 'clues' ..  You guys are too late to the social distancing party ...

'You've' been out playing Golf and socialising when the Itai's and Spanish and even little nations like the Rep of Georgia were asking ( telling ) their citizens to stay at home..

I find it INCREDIBLE that the US has dilly-dallied .... 'leadership' has been absent .. mixed messages, lack of coordination on both sides of the pond re Ventilators, PPE kit, testing and asking folks to self-isolate / keep apart ..

It's like our govts actually thought this virus respects borders .... when it was already here

The numbers for deaths that ms notes seem to be correct. What his nibs does not acknowledge is the size of the US population compared to the UK.

I suspect both countries are going to see the number of dead and ill to continue to increase substantially for the near term.

The elephant in the room (pun intended) that no one is mentioning is the obesity levels in the UK and America. Americans are exceptional people (just ask them ), exceptionally fat that is  . Obesity is an underlying condition and one that virologists worry about the most in countries like America where the obesity rate is well over 50%.

USA lost over 500 souls in past 24 hours, NYC over 1000 total dead and rising fast... NYC Police and Fire/EMTs over 1000 infected and 10% of NYC Health Care Workers infected...  Strikes likely if infection rates and worse deaths still climbing...

So I don't know where it is coming from, but certainly nothing on a global level is showing any signs of slowing down.

Its a very odd subject title given what's actually happening. This is no doubt why Tex and Billy think that the US has it all under control??

With 3 out of 4 Americans now under some form of lockdown, I think its clear that the US needed to follow what the rest of the world had done. The question being, is it too late given what they already knew from elsewhere?

32 out of 50 states have taken lockdown measures and the US now has over 163,000 confirmed cases and over 3000 deaths. I hope I'm wrong but I called this a few days ago, the US is going to suffer some heavy losses.

Fingers crossed we all come out the other side safely.

The United States has 10,909 New Cases and 259 New Deaths.

The United Kingdom has 25,150 New Cases and 381 New Deaths.

I suspect the numbers will only increase around the globe except for China which has 5 New Deaths and 79 New Cases.
