After South Carolina where candidates dropped out and a bunch of Democrats pledge to support Biden, Biden is going to win it all. Bernie is going to get screwed.

GAME OVER MAN! GAME OVER. I say this before Super Tuesday is finished. With the DNC's planned boost for Biden working perfect after South Carolina, I don't see anybody getting the majority of delegates for the automatic win so super delegates are going to pick Biden and Bernie gets screwed. Hillary is already rubbing it in saying Bernie knew the rules when he signed up.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/elections-2020/clinton-responds-to-sanders-on-delegates/ar-BB10GFp7

Elizabeth Warren got third place in her State and has no realistic chance to win but she's staying in it for as long as the party wants. Her policies are in line with Bernie's more than Biden's so it should make sense she drop out and support Bernie but she's going to waste more time and a whole lot of money to stay in the race to reduce the amount of delegates Bernie gets. What does she get in return for being loyal? Get to chair a major Senate committee? VP? Secretary of State? Guarantee from the DNC she'll be the next Democratic President nominee should Biden lose to Trump?

Bloomberg spent over half a billion dollars and has little to show for it. He's taking some delegates which doesn't really hurt Biden as long as he's helping prevent Bernie from getting a majority.

I don't get it. Biden is basicly a loose-situation with Trump. Do they want 4 more years of Trump?

At least with Bernie they'd have a chance to win, but with Biden its going to be corruption,corruption,corruption,ukraine,son-biden etc. until he's browbeat.

This is a charade. Your betters give you the opportunity to think you have a voice but, of course, you don't.

Even some of the candidates seem unaware of the truth - or perhaps as cast members they enjoy their own rewards for having participated.

Interesting to see how the USA is emulating the later, failing, years of the CCCP in its transition to a gerontocracy.

It’s actually the other way around. Biden has a much better chance of winning than Commie Bernie.

Most Democrats don’t believe Biden did anything wrong or don’t care. OTOH America doesn’t want Socialism.

Biden being “mainstream” is the safe choice.

Had to look up the meaning of gerontocracy. The qoute below is from Wikipedia, but the statement reminds me when I reminded my mother that the next day I would be 40 years old. Without so much as batting an eye she replied; 'Doesn't mean you are grown up.'

'A gerontocracy is a form of oligarchical rule in which an entity is ruled by leaders who are significantly older than most of the adult population.'

Biden won big tonight. Bernie Sanders is on life support.

Takeaways from Tuesday’s Democratic primary contests as Biden pulls further ahead of Sanders

“Sanders has tried to improve his standing with older voters, particularly by positioning himself as the champion of Social Security. But last week, Biden won the backing of two-thirds of voters 45 to 64 and got nearly 80% of those 65 and older. Together, the two groups accounted for 66% of the voters on Super Tuesday.”

Truly the end of days over in the land of the free. Your 'best' choices of opposition candidates are both old men with little to no visible evidence of having benefitted society in any way at all. The likely winner of the candidacy contest is a senile, corrupt, kiddy-fiddler.

Over in the civilised world we lower our heads, shudder, and feel rather grateful to have been born into a better place.

It has been accurately noted that people get the leaders they deserve. You lot must've been a bunch of evil fokkers if you end up with one of those two.

Odd how politics 'work'. If D. Trump had done nothing regarding Biden & Ukraine most likely there would be E. Warren or B. Sanders as nominee now.

For Trump the next four years are for him to lose. With the COVID 19 virus he needs to become a leader, not only in America but worldwide. So far he is acting like a spoiled teenager.

AvHdB, you are right.
On the basis of 'no smoke without fire' the fact that the Bidens are finally being investigated in Ukraine tends to support the contention that there was, at the very least, cause for suspicion that corruption was going on involving the Biden crime family. That does rather justify the desire of the Trump administration to look into matters in Ukraine.

Right now, it does rather look as though Trump does not personally have a handle on what is going on with Covid-19 although, albeit belatedly, the administration does seem to finally be starting to get things moving a month or so too late.
Even if one believes that the social and political impact of Covid-19 is greater then the public health issue the idea of too little too late does seem somehow appropriate here. The delay is going to prove very costly in all senses of the word.

Government leaders need to lie about how dangerous the situation is. Panic will kill more and kill economies than the virus itself. China controlled the spread of the plague in their country in Nov 2019 even after they failed WHO protocol. They have a history in failing WHO protocol which require nations to report immediately a newly discovered pathogen and most of the time it wasn't a problem but this time lost control of this virus. Now the world has to deal with it.

Just like on an airplane, before putting an oxygen mask on a child, you help yourself first. You can't help somebody if you're in bad shape. America may help less developed nations control their spread after we help ourselves but if America's economy is stressed out, it'll be every nation for themselves and if governments break down, it'll be every man for themselves. Let's hope we don't get to that point. Regardless of what people think of Trump, he with America will do more for the world fighting this virus than China.

The lad on the video makes an excellent point.

Had Trump behaved like Biden and displayed obvious cognitive disabilities, then the MSM would have been all over him 24/7, and the witch hunt would go down another path.

It’s so obvious to see yet the anti Trump brigade continue to turn a blind eye to reality.

Not a chance. The left are a bunch of bitter, narcissistic, idealists with smug, out of touch views.

In the UK today, the chancellor held his budget speech and delivered a some what fair and encouraging plan, at least from the outset, which promised funds to the NHS, suspended business rates for small business, extending sick pay among many other promises. Tackling corona was a priority and protecting the people financially.

Hmm,

1/ The Former PM stood up and reminded BoJo what the Tory party are known for ..'prudent spending '

2/ The 'left' point out that the current Tory govt has done a volte face on Cameron and Osborne's austerity policy ..

Are these people 'idiots' for pointing out that if 'the left' had implemented such Keynesian economics - they'd have been pilloried ?

There is no magic money tree and I accept these are 'interesting times' we live in ... in many ways they'll be an 'excuse' ...
