Topless women on the beach

It's a dull Sunday morning in the UK and I've just had a chat with a topless woman ( Wifey)  on a beach in Thailand ...'Wish you were here?'


I thought this topic might be interesting as I've always wondered why many US beaches in Florida 'ban' such displays - resulting in white bits ..

Most FSU women I've dated have no problems going topless if they know others cannot see .. or will lie on their fronts without a top to ensure no white lines in their backs

My first wife - before I knew her - refused to put on her top when asked to do so -on a hot day - when driving .. She was sitting at a red light - and simply drove off - when it went green, of course - after insisting if a bloke can drive without a top on - so could she ..leaving the poor policeman the option of reporting her ... Nothing ever happened .

SC likes to get her baps out on quiet beaches and despite wearing only a skimpy bottom would NEVER sunbathe in the nude on a public beach ..  out at sea on a yacht - an entirely different matter..

Do topless beaches exist in the US? I always thought them somewhat puritanical in that regard.

My wife is happy enough to go topless in places where it’s normal to do so and others are doing similar.

I recall in Malta she wasn’t sure about it as it’s a very catholic place and on the beaches they seem to frown on it. So she did so by the hotel pool and nobody cared.

It tends to be a thing in a place that if one does it, others will follow. If nobody does, nobody will.

Sort of like the chicken on the spit and a woman on the beach in a bikini; the white bits always taste the best.

For what it is worth for a variety of reasons, taste and morals are shifting and you see fewer topless women/girls on the beaches in Western Europe. At least that is my perception. The United States has always been rather conservative 'puritanical' about such matters. It is an odd double standard.

Yeah we have them but America isn't famous for topless beaches. A few are in the link below. We also have nudist colonies where people walk around completely nude. Most of those people aren't anything special to look at.

It's always amused my that the country that produces the most pornography is the must puritanical about breasts and butts/cheeks.
Having spent half my life in Europe/South America, I guess I grew up with a much more normal attitude towards people, especially women, dressing how ever they please, where ever they please. In fact I understand I am personally now quite intolerant towards prudish people. I hate watching American TV shows and movies where they censor even "cheeky" bikinis because of God knows why, and never a nipple will be seen.
Australia, interestingly enough, since the advent of social media seems to becoming a more prudish society than it was. In the 80s 90s there was quite a lot of topless bathing. The "sunsafe" campaigns of the "noughties" probably started the change, but online shaming and outrage seem to be completing the job. Girls will still do it when the beach is not crowded, but not now on a main public beach like Bondi. Cheeky (Brazilian) style bikini bottoms are very common though, and one of the WaterParks that tried to ban them because 3 mothers started a campaign (to protect their teenage boys!!) at first won, but then outrage overturned it. G-string bikinis, that the Russian/Ukrainians/South Americans love to wear, are never seen in Australia.
Bali, due to so many Europeans, Aussies and Russians, seems to be an anything goes without offending the locals. Thailand can be a free for all in Phuket, and Samui, but not on the mainland. Cambodia and Vietnam are VERY conservative on the beaches. The local women will wear full coverage tshirts and shorts, and Europeans will be told to cover up unless on a deserted beach.
It seems so funny to me what different countries have chosen to "sexualize". In Russia/Ukraine seeing full butt cheeks on the beach is normal but not so many topless. Same in Brazil and Uruguay. Whereas French, Germans and Scandies are most likely to go topless but wear a full bottom. 
I love a woman who is confident in her body, and her own choices. The family groups on the beach in Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Phuket, Mykonos etc don't even give the flesh a second glance..

Ohhhh I dunno, some 50+ women seem to be rather good looking still. Bridget Maasland comes to mind. (Former Model and Dutch V-Jay).

That said yes lots of women still look good into 50's some can even go topless.
But the majority who do, shouldn't, there inlays the problem.

this is true of course, but I suspect if you ask women, they don't want to see you in a speedo either.
It's not a question of what rights we have or don't.
Personally I could care less, I really don't pay that much attention to other people on the beach.
Like most people I notice the exceptional, that can be in either direction

I don't care if women want to sunbathe topless or not. Its purely their own decision. I am rarely offended by lack of beauty. And sometimes, choice of clothes is even worse than those women would be without clothes!

Although it's (technically) not permitted, we sometimes get topless sunbathers down in Islamorada. Learning how to check them out while not appearing to be gawking is a learned skill... I enjoy practicing the craft when opportunity allows.

reality is, depending on where you are in the world it is acceptable or not.
when in those places you can choose to go buff or not, to look or not.
If you feel very strongly about this, then maybe not going to these places is a good idea.

Personally I could care less, to me, do as you wish if your not hurting anyone else
whats the big deal. Here technically its not done, But that said we have a beach that is well known
for folks going nude, crystal crescent beach at the far end, so walk far enough and you will
find a place or folks to see if that floats your boat.
I have never been there for simple reason never felt the need, to go naked or watch folks who do.

Turns out a new Diesel Machinists Chief decided to channel his inner Submariner and paint two large card board signs about 12 feet by 12 Feet and duct tape them to the Conning Tower hidden below the fairwater planes... One said Show Us Your Tits and the other a Huge Smiley Face that said Sit on a Happy Face... When the photos of same made the Front page of the local papers the Chief now our crew hero was confined to the pier so we called the local Navy League who found the whole episode hilarious so they threw a burg and brews grillathon at the the pier and about 20 of us fanned out to the beach inviting the hottest bikinis to a burg n brew bash to meet our celebrity Chief who looked like Magnum P I Tom Selleck...  He had fun to say the least.
