"Ukrainian government considers the possibility of introducing visa regime with the United Kingdom.[68][69] This was a reaction to the absurdly high level of denials of visas for Ukrainian citizens in 2017-2018. In 2005 Ukraine introduced visa-free regime for European Union as a whole, without specifying every country of the union, thereby British citizens will lose visa-free entry to Ukraine the moment when the United Kingdom leaves the EU. After Brexit, Ukrainian government is going to negotiate with British government the resumption of visa-free travels to Ukraine for British citizens in exchange for visa-free travels to UK for Ukrainian citizens, or at least an easier procedure of getting a visa."

This would only impact a minute number of people.

Might even save some being scammed.

I remember a bloke from Work, he went motorcycling from Bejing back to Netherlands. Considering the time-frame of his trip (3+ Months), he couldn't apply for a Russian visa from the Dutch side, so he had to get one from the RU/CN border at the spot.

First he was delayed because he was not allowed to cross the desert alone. He had to wait for a companion travelling the same road.
He encountered a brittish man with the same intent as he did. Drive through Russia back to Europe.

So when they got to the RU border on the other side of the desert, he got a visa within 2 hours waiting. The other guy (the brit) got denied.
Officially no reason, unoficially because they didn't think brits should benefit from the anti-russian behaviour brittish were showing at the time. (This was a decade ago).

Now the brit had to wait for a guy travelling in the other direction because of .... the desert.
So he couldn't enter russia and couldn't go back either. He was stuck.

End of the day it will come down to what the likelihood of the person returning is not a quid pro quo of we give you visa free access but we expect the same in return. The UK is an economically superior country to Ukraine so it is taking a greater risk admitting citizens from poorer countries. It's highly unlikely Brits will travel to Ukraine to stay for the long term without taking the legitimate route and having financial resources to survive there.

The greater threat comes from the Ukraine getting easy access 'freedom of movement' from the EU whether a member or not. That is what they are demanding now along with Georgia & Moldova, the article of which I posted up on the other site (which unfortunately seems  to be down at the moment, hence why you are blessed with my presence here Mobers ;D )

Here is the article I speak of:

Only a few days left to the big day Mobers, how are you feeling about a big Remoan defeat :)

Dear Trench,

I had you in mind, when thinking this ( possible) 'retaliation' from Kiev s only ONE good reason for 'brexit' and the other is no e-Visas for UK citizens to Russia ...

As for 'agenda' .. Why am I not surprised you'd be using such a site as 'validation ' ..

Yes, I agree with Steveboy in many ways.
