It's like Kiev here

I'm in a large American city for the past few days. Working and staying downtown and I realized how many beautiful and even slender American women there are! My normal location is a mid-sized American city and I rarely walk around downtown for the amount of time I am doing now but all these beautiful women reminds me of Kiev. It all points to the idea that the grass is not always greener. There have been some beautiful women and many are pretty.

However, being an American in a foreign large city would have its inherent advantages whereas I'm just another guy trying to get the attention of women here.

Kind of a nice moment to remember my time in Kiev. I suppose for the sheer exoticism I'd probably rather be in Kiev but walking around here to coffee shops and restaurants meeting and trying to meet people is just about as fun on one level.

I have, for decades, said that the USA is stuffed with gorgeous women. It is true and good that you have noticed. Whenever I have stayed over there, and I have, a lot - I have been impressed by the women I met. Attractive, well-educated, healthy women who speak the same language that I do.

One thing that I think very worthy of note is this: while those of us who live in another country or married a woman from another country get used to the language issues they never really go away.

Recently I met up with a very lovely woman from my own country. One of the greatest attractions is the ease of communication, the depth of shared experience, even though I am much older than she and have been spending lots of time away from the UK.

I'd not knock the idea of seeking a compatible life partner from your own peer group.

Yeah minus the sexy accent.

And from my experience - being American for some people does extend the conversation more in Kiev. I've been invited over for dinner more than a few times abroad which doesn't really happen stateside.

I never thought the Windy City was full of so many wonderful gems.

Not sure about the American part, but I have noticed anywhere I have traveled
being from somewhere else creates interest, thus opportunity

If you speak native fluent English and aren't white in Russia then you get shocked looks. I could tell some stories but I'd rather keep them to myself

When I visit the downtown area of my fairly small metropolitan area, I see more pretty women walking down the street than I do in the suburbs. I think part of it is that they get out of the car and walk, part of it is that they are more active and thus thinner, and also that they try a little harder to look attractive than suburbanitas. My conclusion is that cities in general have more visible hotties per capita than the suburbs or rural areas. Those are my thoughts.
