Major Russia-Ukraine prisoner swap
« on: September 08, 2019, 12:43:37 AM »
Well, it has happened.

Russia has released Ukrainians 'captured ' for doing their lawful biz and Ukraine released (example) suspects in the MH17 case.

Note it happened to coincide with RU local 'elections'

Still, Zelinsky has managed to do something Poroshenko couldn't .

I have never claimed to be a Blue Beret

Spurious claims about 'seeing action' with the Blue Berets are debunked >here<

Look what the American media makes some people believe:
Putin often threatens to strike US with nuclear weapons.

Not many Russians were exchanged, almost all were Ukrainians, but still, not a bad thing overall.

Hey Markje,

WTF have the Dutch investigating team been doing not to have interviewed this MH17 "suspect" while he's been sitting in an Ukrainian jail? seems a bit rich they're complaining now, too late, as the bird has flown.

He was never a real 'suspect', just a propaganda tool. It would not have helped the case has he been interviewed, or God forbid, ever appeared in front of a court or tribunal of any kind.

The Dutch Media are heavily confused, since he wasn't interviewed the Government declared he was not a 'suspect' but a 'witness' and interviewing witnesses is based entirely voulentary. So after being asked nicely by the JIT, he himself could approve/deny being interviewed. It seems nobody bothered to even ask though and now its too late.

The JIT also decided not to share this critical part with its allied countries like Ukraine , Australia, et.al.

Btw, I think the dutch government is more preoccupied with our own 'banana republic' incident.

If something like this happened in Russia, we'd all be crying the opposition had been crushed in a political show-trial by corrupt judges on Putins personal order!

to say that the ukrainians were regular biz people is just a tad dishonest

You do not use ENG as your first lang, so you can be excused for misunderstanding ..

I said 'going about their lawful biz'

This means they were not doing anything wrong when captured  in either international waters or within Ukrainian territory

Apart from they were in Russian territorial waters.

Only according to Russia.. but you'll know of the arbitration and UN findings on that matter
