Tit's UP Moving to my wife's country..
« on: September 03, 2019, 02:48:22 AM »
Here a question ..

So the scenario is this..

Your living in the US or the Uk with your wife, she is Russian (But for arguments sake she could also be Ukrainian or Belarusian) Things don't work out at home for one reason or another.. no need to discuss this.. and the wife says some thing along the lines of "I want to move back to my home country to be with my family as things have improved over the years.. are we going to do it?"

For arguments sake there there is nothing to argue about.. or nothing to discuss ... But if you did decide to move to your wife home country for arguments sake we will assume you will be able to live very comfortably with no less weekly income than you presently have and the same quality of accommodation you already have.. so nothing to discuss there.

It is just a simple question..

Answer 1.  No way hosay

Answer 2.  Of course I would without a doubt

Answer 3. I will do every thing possible to change my wife mind even suggest moving to another country.

Lets see how patriotic or NOT you are to your wife's country ? ;D

No discussing you just put.. 1-2 or 3

In today's modern world if you are rich you can live anywhere.  Some clients I work for fly from Russia to Europe to USA and everywhere in between.
They have multiple homes and the means to live a lavish life.  Rent mansions or villas and have fully staffed workers at your beck and call.

Now if you are normal then you can't do this.

I can live any where in the world I wish! Do not need to be super rich.. I can live in the US any time I want.. China.. next week... London next week if I wish ... But I prefer the Motherland..

But in the next few years we will be living in a few places kind off..

My wife's family (her children, grand children) live in Seattle.   No way would she leave the US to move back to Russia, unless things went to hell here.  Then we would.  We still own a two room flat in Russia.
What is worse than not being able to get what you don't even want?

I'd opt for number 2.

In fact, I am already planning my retirement there  :party0011:

No way hosay

For the Spanish speaking on here, that should be "no way Jose", emphasis on the "e'.

At the current time, my answer would be 3.  If things change, it could convert to 1 or 2.

For me to want to move to my wife's country, Ukraine, there needs to be more factors involved than Ukraine achieving equal or better quality of life than what I'm experiencing in America. There needs to be a proven record of stability and that can take years to figure out. Also If we have kids, I would not have them move to a country that has a poor track record for economic stability and opportunity.
Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776. If you want to stop the war in Ukraine, fix elections, stop medical tyranny and forced vaccinations, lower inflation and make America and the world a better place, get Trump back into power. The Democrats and Republicans have shown they can't do the job. They are good at robbing us and getting people killed in non stop wars.

Not a chance. Our kids, grandkids and parents are all in the US.

I recently read a guide to offshoring Code Developers all the way up to AI/ML Devs from a Kiev Ukraine women run firm with pricing for Romania, Poland, Belarus and Ukriane and possibly Hungary iirc...

As most softies I have hired in the USA had business ethics that would make an Indian hashish dealer look absolutely honorable by comparison I am considering the offshore route in Kiev and Manny's primary advertisers for the wifey aspect.

Just wrapping up my VA service-connected % adjudication (have all the VA i's dotted and t's crossed now and submitting the hearing backup docs to my local Veterans Services Officer) - that combined with my socsec will provide a reliable $ cushion and I can focus on the project.

Will have to spend time every six months or so in the USA for VA follow up appts as the Boston VA Medical system has improved greatly under the Trumpster.

So 2 it is +/-
