But if you really think about it , you have to be a real dumbo to think that humans are creating "Global warming" It is sheer nonsense .. BUT as 95% of the population are stupid any way (Even Adolf hitler said this) it is an easy one to pull.

They have been doing it for a few years now "carbon footprint "  "Carbon tax" and any other little scheme they can rake some more money in from the general public..

The planet is changing all the time! Plate tectonics , Ice ages coming and going for millions and millions of years, nuclear winters, hot periods, cold periods, solar storms, meteorite impacts and lots more all sorts of things..

So what about the USK it is sinking!! In 10 million years there will be no UK.. better start blaming that on some one soon aaa?

What about the next "Ice age" They come and go ever few hundred thousand years, you think some **** stupid carbon foot print is going to stop it?? Or maybe they could invent huge fan heaters to keep half the planet warm next time round ..

What about "Plate tectonics " The US was joined to Africa just a few billion years back.. some time in the future it will merge with China    Going to have to have a bloody big plan to stop that one.. maybe a "plate tax" pity the poor general public in a few million years time.. looks like they will have so many taxes it will not be worth going to work..

What about the Antarctic ? It is going to Melt and there will be rising sea levels ..   It has never happened before has it in the Earths 5 billion year history.. its all going to happen in the next 50 years, actually every thing is suddenly going to happen in the next 50 years so tax Tax Tax Tax that will solve it..

And lastly Big rocks are hitting the planet all the time they have been for billions of years! Big ones, little ones, small ones and fat ones.. Humans only just worked out recently what a big threat to the planet it actually is.. just in the last 50 years ..

So some time in the next 100-1000 years for sure a big piece of rock is going to hit the planet and BANG there goes all your "Carbon tax" "carbon footprint" gone in a few minutes..

Humans are just fleas on the planet , it can shake then off any time..

Nothing to differ just study the Universe , solar system and planets .. you will soon realise a few humans will not change mother nature..

I did think of a very useful idea though about all the plastic being dumped in the world and and problems of disposing of it.. it is so simple I don't understand why no one has ever thought of it before!!

Global warming has a number of human sources. Carbon is just one of them. Also farming, deforestation, lost of wild heard animals contribute their part.  There is big money behind both side of this argument and it is harder to get real facts because of all the money coloring it.

The other thing about Global warming we may have passed the point of no return already. The permafrost in many places is melting and maybe releasing more CO2 and methane gas no matter what we humans do. The big surprise numbers this year have been in the methane gas levels in the air. There are different form of Carbon and more recently the weight of the carbon in the air is getting heavier. This leads scientist to believe the new source of carbon maybe the melting permafrost not cars.

The CO2 in the air is absorbed into the oceans. This forms carbonic acid and is lower in the PH of the oceans. It is an environmental problem that could lead to the death of much of the plankton at some point.  Melting ice is starting to cause the giant ocean currents that make the weather in Europe mild are slowing down. So Europe might actually get colder winter and have more record heat in summers. 

I just looked at a video by Jim Richards where among other things feel that Global warming is a plot by globalist to have a reason for a single world government. They are surely using this to help their cause. He dose not believe that CO2 does anything the raise the temperature of the planet.

The poor girl is being manipulated and has been manipulated. She is being used as a tool.

I feel rather sorry for her. As many of us know, she has some mental health challenges to deal with and I hope that she is receiving the support that she needs in order to cope with what she is going through - but I rather doubt it.

She is being told what to say, when to say it, where to say it, and how to say it. What might (might) have started out as a genuine passion has been taken from her and redirected.

I think that much of the ire that, inevitably, ends up being addressed toward her, as the figurehead, is really aimed at those behind her - her sponsors and handlers. On the whole, those people are hidden and so escape the anger that they create through Greta.

This is the similar explanation about the HK and Venezuela protestors.  The movement is really being orchestrated by Western elements according to the Red and Socialist Governments.  Whenever you come upon an opponent who is not on your side, you do whatever you can to disparage the other side.

I am fairly sure that she did organize the 'strike' at her school. It is the kind of thing that'd not surprise me. Everything afterward is none of her doing. The work involved, the organizational skills, the money and logistical resources behind the activities she fronts are all outside of the resources of a single individual not even old enough to have a credit card.

While her parents seem to be somewhat manipulative and exploitative, this falls outside of their competence.

I hope, but do not expect, that her parents will be able to assist their daughter to use the opportunities that she has been given, for whatever reason, for her own benefit and that they are able to protect her from the almost inevitable backlash and from the very likely dropping of her that will happen as the world turns and 'news' media find new topics of interest.

All, the foregoing is written by one who is concerned about the environmental impact of humanity upon the global ecosystem but who hates the obvious manipulation of a young child.

For most of the protesting movements, it originates at a smaller level that grows exponentially by increasing numbers along with those who could possibly manipulate the movement to their own inclinations.  Whether or not the manipulation factor is part of the movement, the blame for the movement having getting more public exposure will usually get directed at enemies (or disbelievers) whether there is an outside influence or not.

Your discussion appears to be fixated on the Swedish lass, so I will answer the question point blank.  Do I think if she is capable of organizing the movement that has spawned her as its leader?  No, I do not.  Movements need figureheads and symbols, so if someone can be propped up to "take the mantle", others behind the scene could manage to control the movement using that figurehead.  This has happened many times in past revolutionary movements.

My point was that in most cases when a protest movement gathers steam, the opponents will look for "external forces" as the reason for its growth.  However, to counter that point let us take the protests going on recently in Iraq.  Corruption is endemic there and many people are fed up with unemployment and lack of government services for the public.  Hundreds have been killed in the rioting.  So is an external entity behind the protests?  Is the West or neighboring countries encouraging the protests?  Does not appear so.  ISIS or Al-queda inspired?  Most of the rioters are not all Sunnis.  You may think that the riots need to be stopped and for someone like Saddam to quell the disturbance.  Then he can replace the corrupt government with his form of corrupt government.  That is instead of widespread rioting and killing, you lock up and execute the resisters.  So which is better, death by rioting or death by poison gas/firing squad?

My son has what was called Asperger's, it is now part of the autistic spectrum. My brothers son is autistic and while in some areas quite clever he needs help tying his shoes. I am dyslexic, specifically dysgraphic.

While one can over compensate in one direction the rest falls to the way side.

Watching Greta 'sail' on YouTube across the Atlantic was almost scary and frightening. An ending in disaster could have been the conclusion. Yes she was coddled and coached. There is no doubt in my mind about this.
