You forget, andrewfi...you once proved you actually had a heart..and fell for a woman ..

Travel AND business.. the perfect combination and arriving by yacht means the arrival / departure time is non specific.

I can be pretty cutting, but I NEVER assume to comment on others' relationships unless they ask for an opinion and offer up some info / circumstances...))

Today, she patiently endured near calm to near gale force conditions ..trusting her 'captain' to negotiate a rock strewn passage.

Not many women ..first time under sail would be so patient....))

Don't your mates know my movements ?))

My IP has been showing I've been in TR since 19th June but have been to 3 or 4 countries depending on whether you recognise 'em all.

What IS interesting that only one has asked to see our passports.... could have dispensed with two visa applications.

I arrived in TR on route to RU and was told I needed to buy a TR visa for 20 GBP...having been there just over a month ago ...thus having a valid visa... I refused to pay and another passport officer scanned my passport to confirm 'no visa'....and didn't seem interested in my recent stamps.  I called someone I know in Cyprus...the TR controlled part.. and after a chat my visa was 'found'...

Perhaps the FSB had hacked TR's passport system !)

Update on visa tegistration

Went to a central post office and SC signed a form that took 15 mins to wait for.

450 rubles later and I was registered.

Now to open a bank account ...to get around not being able to pay for things in RU online using my UK cards

So, I now have a current account in Russia - and will shortly receive 3 visa cards to deal in $, € and rub and a £ sterling facility.

I went for this bank as I have seen them in Austria, UA and RU. I have no idea of their ownership status / shareholding - I suppose I should check, but the account - for now - is just to be able to pay for mobile phone / internet top ups, etc.,

Many things now do not work online with UK cards - like yandex money. The cost is approx 2.50 usd/monthly, but increased throughput can mean no charges.

Now, as long as the swift system isn't removed ...

If Putin goes forward with his planned invasion of Ukraine to get a land bridge to Crimea, look for the West to swiftly cut Russia out of SWIFT.   :chuckle:

Raffaisenbank is a Hungary bank that expanded to more countries. They operate under different names in almost all European countries, in Netherlands its  "Rabobank". (Raffaisen) (Boeren) bank".

So your 43.5853° N, 39.7203° E ??

Don't get to cocky there as I said things work slow but sure I had a mail from my friend in the ministry last night.

If I was you as soon as you have your Raiffeisen card I would get on down to the a armoury and buy yourself a flack jacket and helmet easily available in Russia.
Did you see the Bourne Supremacy? That guy was a crack shot especially when it comes to Russian haters

I wouldn't be surprised if your cards stop working all together within the next 24 hours to stop you trying to make a fast exit.
