Russia to send a fourth aid convoy of 50 trucks to Ukraine today.

The western media won't report this of course now they know there is only aid in the trucks.

I wonder if anyone proofreads these articles.

Quote from: Bloomberg
“This move is expected to slow down peace negotiations and negatively impact the humanitarian situation for conflict-affected people,” it [U.N. Humanitarian Affairs Office] said in an Oct. 31 report.

Fighting flared after the conclusion of a natural gas deal with Russia, highlighting the challenges in reaching peace. The insurgents violated the wobbly cease-fire 28 times in the previous 24 hours, the Defense Ministry in Kiev said on its Facebook page early today.

Two soldiers were killed near the port city of Mariupol when a radio-controlled explosion rocked a car they were searching at a road block, Lysenko said. One soldier and the driver were wounded, he said.

A convoy of more than 100 Russian trucks arrived in Donetsk and Lugansk, RIA Novosti reported today, saying it carried humanitarian aid consisting of construction materials, fuel, food and medicine.

In reality, Germany is not a hugely enthusiastic partner because a large section of Berlin’s political class is extremely skeptical of US power. Significant numbers of the German intelligentsia feel that Moscow is their natural ally – not Washington.

Putin is often misunderstood in the West. His public statements, aimed more at a domestic audience than an international one, come across as aggressive, almost chauvinistic. But observers would do well to remember that he is a judo master whose moves are calculated to confuse and wrong-foot an opponent. Reading between the lines, the Russian president is seeking engagement - not isolation.

The Russian president envisages his country as part of a new international alternative, joining with the other BRIC nations to restrain US aggression wherever possible. Putin sees this as the path to stability. Adenauer and Macmillan would have understood this perfectly but modern European and North American leaders do not get it. Drunk on the dominance they have enjoyed over the past 20 years, the penny has yet to drop that the global order is rapidly changing.

How the US reacts to the new reality will be vital. In an almost cartoon-like way, Washington discourse is now focused on the NSA, spooks, shadow governments, a lost and pathetic fourth estate, squandered militaristic might, and rampant, terrifying nationalism. This juvenility requires a bad guy. In a decade, it has moved from Bin Laden, Saddam, and 'Freedom Fries' to Russophobia. If the American elite maintain the same behavior, the transition to a multi-polar world might not be peaceful. That's the fear, and that fear is real.

In Donetsk and Lugansk, people bring submachine guns to restaurants and polling stations alike. Since the rebels did not have access to electoral rolls, it was laughably easy to register as a voter. One woman apparently filled in the requisite questionnaires for a cow, putting down "Ear Tag MOO-123321, issued on 01.01.1998 by shepherd Semyon Ivanovich," as identifying document, and received a number allowing her to cast a vote online. When the OSCE refused to observe the elections, a group calling itself the Association (or Agency, to hear its different members talk) for Security and Cooperation in Europe popped up conveniently and gave a press conference in Donetsk, praising the votes. The delegation consisted of far-right politicians from Austria, Belgium, Italy, France and several eastern European nations, as well as two Greek Stalinists.

Continuing the "People's Court of Novorossiya" story, I wonder if the voters in Donbas knew what they were really voting for. Especially women who like to visit restaurants.

Quote from: Alexei Mozgovoi
"Too many women go to restaurants," he said. "What kind of example do they show to their children? From now on, we will arrest all women we find in restaurants and cafes."

http://www.examiner.com/article/world-war-3-nuclear-russia-on-inevitable-war-putin-calls-us-late-on-terrorism

November 3, 2014
8:30 AM MST

Is World War 3 truly something the US should be preparing for this 2014? Vladimir Putin, the leader of Russia, has been vocal this week in a new speech stating that the US is to blame for the chaos currently erupting across the world, and that global war is “inevitable” as a result. The Inquisitr also reports this Sunday, November 2, 2014, that Putin is saying it is not a nuclear Russia that Americans should be fearing, but Islamic radicals — and that the US is late on waking up to international terrorism.

World War 3? Russia talks Islamic radicals, war, and US being late on threat

In a proclamation that some are calling a precursor to World War 3 and Vladimir Putin’s most direct statement ever toward the West, Russia is clearly ready to stop the alleged “games” with the US nation. While speaking publicly at the Valdai Conference earlier this week in Sochi, Putin touched upon a variety of matters, most of which argue that American imperialism is to blame for current strife.

“Russia will no longer play games with the United States and engage in back-room negotiations. Russia is prepared for serious agreements, but only if these agreements are conducive to collective security … Russia has no intention of building an empire of their own, but will not go fishing in the murky waters created by America’s ever-expanding “empire of chaos," said Putin.

Putin went on to say that although a nuclear Russia has no personal aims to establish a powerful empire, they will not allow themselves to be dominated by the US, either. Perhaps one of the harshest claims Putin makes is that he believes another global war — World War 3 — will be nearly “inevitable” in the future. The leader asserts that Russia will be ready if and when that momentous time comes.

“Russia does not wish for the chaos to spread, does not want war, and has no intention of starting one. However, today Russia sees the outbreak of global war as almost inevitable, is prepared for it, and is continuing to prepare for it. Russia does not war, nor does she fear it… But those who manage to drag Russia into this process, through disregard for her interests, will be taught the true meaning of pain."

As posted by Common Sense News this week, Vladimir Putin is beginning to lose some support in Russia, as some view the political figure as prompting a “war party” leading to a possible World War 3 among the people. Yet while some activists see Putin and the nuclear powers of Russia as a greater threat than the extremists within the Islamic state, the foreign leader obviously thinks otherwise. He states that the true threats are these radicals, and that the US is heavily at fault for taking steps following the Cold War that “threw the system into sharp and deep imbalance.”

3) There has been no "threat" to invade Ukraine. The US invented that and fed it to a complicit media.

This is likely the response to Ukraine sending in more troops and taking measures to isolate the Donbas region:

At a briefing Friday, Ukrainian defense spokesman Andriy Lysenko said that 32 tanks, 16 D-30 howitzers and 30 KamAZ heavy trucks crossed past a border checkpoint and headed toward the volatile Lugansk region on Thursday.

This article makes no mention of Poroshenko's order to increase Ukraine's military presence in the Donbas region, thus creating the impression that the problem is one-sided.

One sentence in this article is especially funny:

Quote from: Forbes
... Partly because it seems audacious and cynical beyond all plausibility, partly because we in the West are incapable of it these days...

Those are pretty darn high-resolution pictures in this webpage... Some people will deny this proof as propaganda of course.

The interesting part is that they claim it is coming from a foreign satellite (USA? Europe??? else?)
