Just another scam site behind the advertorial presell page.
The headline claim is not supported in the piffle of the body.
The landing page is standard for scam 'dating communities' along the lines of 'hot women in your area are gagging to have sex with you'.

Question NS1, given your lack of 'need' how did you come to be targeted by the advertiser given that they will have been using careful demographic research and probably remarketing with the audience for the ad being selected using Facebook's remarkably good targeting tools?

That's a rhetorical question that I don't really want to know the answer to. ;)

Actually I will answer, mostly because you are being you and don't take people at face value.
Not sure why I have seen an increase in dating sites on my page, I don't subscribe to any of them or
click on any. I have deleted them, I did read the first page of the  one I posted, mostly because of here
and posted it, because I told Manny I would post more, so trying to do that.

You being you, which has never really changed from what I see, talk about lack of growth.
For the most part regulars know you and are used to your ways, likely like me just don't bother
as its not worth the time, sorta like wrestling with a pig, you realize win or lose the pigs enjoys it.

Maybe after a few weeks of this, I will welcome Moby back and do as I did before, Show up every few months for an update :)

NS1, I am curious about stuff like this because advertisers are pretty careful about how they advertise and to whom. It is why Facebook is so popular with advertisers in many, but not all, niches. For example, I just bought a new bed. I have been followed around on Facebook and Adsense by ads from companies wanting to sell me beds. But that following around did not happen until I visited the site of a company selling a bed I was interested in who also advertised using Adwords.

That's why I was curious in a rhetorical sort of way, as to how you got targeted without taking part in a process that would get you cookied and tracked as being interested in dating sites. For example, visiting RUA is not enough to trigger dating ads, at least not for me. Using Tinder doesn't do it. :)

You're welcome for having benefited from my response to your opening question by the way. :)
I don't notice anyone else having taken the time or trouble to read your link, analyse the content and provide an objective response.

So, do me a favour and climb right down from the oversized self-entitled horse you rode in on and learn some manners.

As I have already stated, not sure how I have been targeted, as I am not a member or paid any attention to any of these sites.

As for who reads, comments or posts on any subject you should know by now, some take off that don't make sense
some never do. Nature of the things like this. If folks don't wish to read or comment, totally on them.

No horse here, you're the only Ass, somethings never changed. you could have gave your 2 cents on link and left it at that.
You are using our history to take a shot, don't waste your's or my time. For the record your opinions of me are worthless.
I consider the source 16k posts you have proven you are consistent if nothing else.

Visiting this forum increases your chances you'll get advertising from dating sites.
Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776. If you want to stop the war in Ukraine, fix elections, stop medical tyranny and forced vaccinations, lower inflation and make America and the world a better place, get Trump back into power. The Democrats and Republicans have shown they can't do the job. They are good at robbing us and getting people killed in non stop wars.

would not surprise me, doesn't really bother me, on facebook I delete ads of that and many things
I don't like or want, fairly common. On google don't seem to get much of that suff, so not a big issue.

Only if you give Google permission to track you. We dont serve Google ads so tracking isnt from here that I know of.

I dont see ads for Russian dating sites any more, but then again I mostly use Chrome in incognito mode.

Just a wonder, as NS1 posted the whole link, doesn't us all clicking on that link tell the advertiser that he clicked on it loads of times?

Not sure about us boosting NS1's attractiveness to dating sites by making it look as though he clicked the ad lots of times. It depends upon what is encoded in the URL string. Also, the chances are that there are trackers on the landing page that will pick up on our individual visits and cookies set by our visits. So, our visits will have been picked up but I'd think that they would not be 'credited' to NS1.

I can see that NS1 is sensitive to the issue, but ads are not, these days, served at random because they cost money. Ads are closely targeted so there's almost always a proximate reason why one gets targeted. As in my example of being chased around the Interwebs by advertisers flogging beds - it happened because I went to a site run by a business that uses Adwords and probably other ad networks as well. Not only was I seeing ads from the original business but also from other businesses selling beds. If one is consistently seeing ads from a particular company or in a particular niche then there's a reason for it.

It could be that in, for example, NS1's case he visited a porn site or two. Porn sites and dating tend to go together hand in glove. That might have triggered the deluge of dating site ads to which he alluded. Most folks might think that the appearance was a random thing a glitch in the matrix, but many marketers would be well aware of this 'secret' linkage and have used it to their benefit in the past.

Who knew, tossers need love too - and can't find it hence they resort to dating sites.

PS, I am not suggesting that NS1 is a denizen of porn sites, I am sure that he is much too much of an upright citizen to ever look at pictures of ze nakid laydeez, but it is a hypothetical, but real-life explanation of a linkage.

Yes, a full tracking code from what I see.  (:)

It takes blokes with Herrie's or Markje's skill to decipher that link for sure.

I can see that NS1 is sensitive to the issue,

I only see he posted an interesting topic.  (:)

but ads are not, these days, served at random because they cost money.

Because they cost money is why they'll serve them to anyone. And the serving is only as good as what the advertiser put in. I occasionally use FB and Instagram ads and the targeting is crap.

Google Darts we call that. I find such targeting to be quite crap. It tries to sell me what I bought last week, dont want or need. If I buy an [item] online after some research, it chases me around the web for weeks after trying to sell me the same.

That said, I also get ads for "over 40s dating" full of fat and scary British women. I have no need for fat and scary British women with hilarious eyebrows, many children, wooden windows, big arses and love handles.

Maybe, but not necessarily. That is all speculation.

Veiled ad hominem attacks like that are totally unnecessary.

I use google ads for work.
Obviously we try and direct to our customer base
and location. I control daily spending but also pay per click.

It works fairly well, but I will often get clicks and calls out of area
how this happens I am not sure, but as hard as these companies try
I suspect their system is not perfect and as Manny pointed out,
the odd mistake to their benefit is just business.
Considering the size of some of these companies a hit
of a couple of bucks a few times a month likely is not a big deal
to many small business. But to google over millions of companies
a few extra clicks each is a lot of money.

accidentally on purpose maybe lol.

Manny, obviously I don't know what you know, but it is not speculation for me to say that dating and porn sites have a close relationship.

If I was making an attack upon poor ns1 I would not have specifically excluded him as I did. The simple fact is that it is quite common for dating sites to be marketed to porn site visitors. The demographic profiles overlap a lot.

Have a think about how ppc ads work before ridiculing the targeting. It does not matter to an advertiser that you made a purchase in their niche last week. Unless you purchased online at the end of a funnel involving an ad then there's no way for ad networks to know that you made such a purchase. You incur no cost to the advertiser if you don't click on the ad or take a remunerated action. But, the fact that you made a purchase, in the niche, indicates that not only was the targeting accurate but that it even hit you at the right point in the buying cycle! You just can't get better than that. Now that you're not hitting ads or sites the cookies will die and the ads disappear.

Targeting is not perfect or, as we used to say when selling print ads, you'd need only one ad view for each item of stock available for sale. But clearly it is pretty good when the research is good and the right audience is selected. When things go wrong it is down to poor research and thus poor audience selection.
