Markje, if you believe that report was aiming at comprehensiveness, then they "forgot" Moscow as well  :)

I am curious what did the various members here do for there women.

Julia dislikes flowers, I sent her as surprise $100 by MoneyGram to do as she sees fit.

Last night, I showed up with flowers, then we went out for dinner and a movie.
Today, I made her Breakfast in bed, made a great dinner along with
a little jewellery and then booked time at the tennis courts,

Happy International Women's Day (IWD)

Who knew it was originally an American celebration:

The earliest Women’s Day observance was held on February 28, 1909, in New York; it was organized by the Socialist Party of America in remembrance of the 1908 strike of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union.

Happy Woman's Day especially to the working women of RUA.

Wow, I had no idea it was invented here. I had never heard of it until I began my FSUW search and thought it was a holiday celebrated only in FSU.

LOL well with the USA's SJWs (Social Justice Warriors - Marxist Feminists etc) it can become too much of a good thing - now it is morphing into Women's Gender Equality Day here - Even Ms. Hillary Clinton is campaigning for equal pay for equal work and Trans Gender equality - ladies who complain at planet fitness about she-males dangling their junk while changing bras in ladies locker rooms are being thrown out for violation of Plant Fitness' judgement free zones (Gyms) policies.

The irony is in 2015 that 60% of all new college entrants are women in the USA and that among recent grads women are more than 50% of all professional degree earners and that the lady grads do in fact earn the same and more than their male counterparts.  Go figure.

Ironically it is difficult for very attractive women to get corporate jobs because their SJW sisters consider them to be too distracting in the workplace.  Long live equal rights...

Cuffy, what you write makes me think... Look, you know theoretically i am pro- everyone's rights (not along the lines of, as you put it, marxist-obamunist lol, but because i do believe people were created equal - and in the image of the Almighty, anyway ;)); it's all another thing when that reality comes knocking on your doors - literally  :duh: I've both worked a lot and volunteered with Roma minority here, my GP is a fascinating Roma lady, still, when the word had spread that i had offered certain legal services pro bono and a group of gypsy nomads showed in the neighborhood asking for me - i wouldn't have them in my home. I felt hypocritical and biased and guilty and all , but i didn't let them in.
Same situation with transgender people, only in Moscow i saw what kind of challenges it can create for everyone else; while Russians in media come across as conservative and discriminating, in reality no one touches LGBT population and they treat them with respect, at least - with the same respect as everyone else. In my uni there were plenty of gay people and several trans people, even gay couples (females) living together on the campus; they can't wave flags and all, but they are safe and no one touches or belittles them. The problem is that straight guys won't share utilities (gym, lockers etc.) with gay guys, won't  live with them (which is expected and understandable), but then of course girls won't either; even more complicated with trans people. You can't shun people, you can't segregate them, but then integrating them into hetero surroundings is very complicated.

LOL I worked for a major teaching hospital complex that celebrated Gay Pride Employees Month - the irony is that they were some of the most intolerant people I ever worked with - we had a man in a lovely Ladies spring Dress and Hat with white gloves interview for a data center IT position and the Lesbian managers in charge were aghast at the possibility of a TG daring to apply to work for them - she women man haters the lot of them.

The joke was on me when they demanded that I train a young gent who had open Kaposi sarcoma lesions on his arms.  Ironically I was training him on the new IT PCs and Servers anti-virus vendors products and help desk enterprise management tools. This while keeping in mind I was the only one willing to volunteer working in the viral parthenogenesis level III bio hazard lab on their graphical analysis systems integrated with their pressurized Blood Cytometers used for determining the efficacy of various HIV drug cocktails being tested on the many HIV patients that visited the clinic there.  Seeing the needless suffering of grown gay men infected with HIV on a daily basis sort of drove the risks of the LGBTQSTDUVWXYZ life styles home in a very graphic way.

BOT...  Can't make this stuff up folks...  SJWs on the March...

2015 International Women's Day
The UN theme for International Women's Day 2015 is "Empowering Women, Empowering Humanity: Picture it!". Governments and activists around the world will commemorate the 20th anniversary year of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, an historic roadmap that sets the agenda for realizing women's rights.

The International Woman’s Day theme for 2015 is ‘Make It Happen’ with a dedicated hashtag for social media.

2017 International Women's Day
2017 will be the hundredth anniversary of the Russian Revolution, which was sparked on March 8, 1917 by women protesting against bread shortages in St. Petersburg. These events culminated in the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II on March 15. Worldwide celebrations and re-enactments are scheduled to begin on March 8, 2017. Among the organizers is the Ukrainian women's direct action group FEMEN, which aims "to shake women in Ukraine, making them socially active; to organize in 2017 a women's revolution." On this day a global women's strike including a sex strike is planned, called by, among others, the International Union of Sex Workers.

For those married to UA ladies you will clearly be expected to participate in solidarity abstinence March 8th 2017!

Ooops looks like that is a global sex strike...  as long as they perform their other domestic duties it should be a wash then (pun clearly intended) ;-)

Yes, we hurry to think that as soon as someone belongs to minority, sexual or religious, that they must be an angel... Yeah, sure  (:) One can calmly be of a minority and be a psychopath, only that then we aren't supposed to bring it up lol!

I hope those of you who are married to FSU women got at last the meaning of March 8 and its difference to Valentin's Day and you didn't forget to greet your mothers in law as well ( sometimes such "sclerosis" could cost you more than "wrong" present to your wife)

PS Thank for greeting with March 8

Among all the discussion on the conflict in Ukraine, March the 8th almost passed us by.

It’s a day when we appreciate all the fabulous women in our lives: wives, daughters, mothers, colleagues and friends.

I hope you all bought the women in your lives some flowers or sent them good wishes.
