Yes, I married a woman with 2 children.  I like to think I have a good relationship with my step-sons.

I've twice married women from Russia with children.

The first time the daughter was 5 years old and was horribly spoiled by the mother and grandparents.  I tried my best to be a father-figure and male role model in her life but at that age, a child's perceptions is a mirror image of the mothers perception.  As our marriage went downhill, the child became more and more intolerant of me.  The mother would not allow me the slightest authority in disciplining the child when she misbehaved.  One day, when the little girl was angry with me, she struck out at me with her fist and caught me square in the "plums".  As a reaction, I lost my temper, grabbed her by the arm and gave her a good solid single swat on the poppa with my open hand.  Two days later I was arrested for domestic violence.  That started an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.  She is 17 now and from what I understand, wears "goth" fashion with all the stereotypical behaviors that would imply.

The second marriage the daughter was 16 years old and I couldn't have asked for a finer, more loving and cooperative child.  She's 24 now and has developed into a wonderful young woman who I love as if she were my own daughter.

I married a lady with one child, she was 8 when we married, she has integrated extremely well into life in the UK and we all get on great a as a family, we have been lucky and had very few problems at all. Nata is in the top 3 at school and although she spoke no English when she arrived, within 6 months she was pretty much as fluent as most other 8 year olds, more so than many natives even  chuckle  you can read more here.

'only' one, and he was 17 when we first met... He lives with us in the UK when he studies.. of course I've tried to have a relationship with him, but at that age, I don't think I could ever try / want to be his Dad..

We'll go for a beer, and even share a taste in some music.. !

May I ask, why you're asking?.. Is it for you, or someone you know who is in a relationship.

I ask, as *I* think the guy should be showing some interest.. BEFORE the lady comes..

Kirill was 8 when I met Mila.  I sent him a present the second time I came to visit Russia.  Third time I met him and we did some things together.  I even played a board game that seemed to be a Russian version of Monopoly.  I made sure that our visits were not just about me and Mila, but about all of us too.  We went karting for fun.  Bowling too.  Kirill was included in the wedding event a lot.  He got to hand out gifts to the kids that I brought from Canada.

Mila is impressed that I go out of my way to teach him things and make him learn as we go through life.  He asks a computer question because something is not working for him and it turns into a day of learning.  I try not to discipline him but if I do I try to make sure I explain it in a way that tells him "his mother wouldn't approve".  Sort of use her authority for myself.  This works great so far.

This week he is trying to do his homework and housework without ANY reminding.  If he does manage this he gets an extra treat.

I bought his Xmas present this week too.  Something I didn't intend to give him and told him so.  But I found a real deal on one so he will be surprised now.

Springirl,

Unless a man is completely stupid, he should know how important a woman's child is to her. A normal man would surely build a relationship with the child of the woman whom he hopes to marry.

Yes, foreign men sometimes marry a woman with two children.

Springgirl, my Russian wife married me, a single Dad of two daughters. She had one child and our 3 daughters are the joys of our life together!

A friend of my wife in Moscow had 3 lovely triplets--3 of the nicest and most well behaved children anyone could imagine. The lady is a smokinhotkova x 1000. On a scale of 1 to 10, she is a Billion. She is hotter than melting lava. Yet the 3 daughters had been an issue with guys and I always felt badly for her. A couple years ago a Swiss man came calling and he was honoured with a wife hot enough to be in any international beauty competition and 3 polite and well mannered, cute daughters, about age 8 at the time. His win--everyone else's loss.

I'm guessing English is not your native language so I'll try to be helpful here -

Here was the text of your original question -

"wonder if any of you married a woman with 2 children, or even it was a one child,"

So it's clear your original question asked about BOTH 1 child and 2 children.

So before you start ridiculing the English skills of one of the moderators of this forum, you might want to self-examine your own.
