Wifey and I are in Estonia at the moment, and have been introduced to a friend of a friend. After conversation, she mentioned she is open to the idea of a foreign husband.

Her name is Anzela (Angela), she is 37 or 38, she has minimal (but some) English and a 17 year old son (Who one would hope would stay here if she relocates). She will be going on Ladagirl when I get around to making a profile for her, but meanwhile, I thought I would mention her on here in case any of our members might be interested. First come, first served and all that........

What makes her notable - apart from being quite pretty - is that she has an EU passport (Estonian). She is ethnically Russian; not Estonian. As an EU passport holder, she can travel anywhere in the EU with no visa, and also I believe can travel to the US now as a tourist, under the visa waiver scheme available to most Europeans.

She works for a company connected with Tallinn airport. She lives about 4 miles outside central Tallinn. (In case anyone wants to do some airport research, the airport code is TLL). We can put you in touch with cheap places to stay, a translator, a car and driver, etc. in Tallinn in case of need. Her age range maxes out at about 50. Wifey gets on quite well with her and says she is nice. She has e-mail and phone numbers of course.

Here are her photos (non members will have to sign up to see them):

Anyone who wants to get in touch with her can refer to this page in the first instance.

Not a snifter of interest............

I am quite surprised.  Shocked

I said to wifey that a couple of chaps would surely write to her and she will be our next marriage most likely. A *real* woman who can travel anywhere in the EU, Canada and the US as a tourist is so seldom seen!

Maybe everyone is seeking women in their 20's?

Manny why does she need you if she has an EU passport?  My understanding is that there is free movement within the EU, so she can move to Paris or London or Frankfurt and live, work and love without any need of a matchmaker.

No language a plus, but employed and city girl a minus..

No age difference is a huge hurdle..

Westy, most Brits cannot afford to move to London, let alone Paris. I guess you have never been to either and sampled the prices there.  chuckle

Methinks you are missing the point here Westy (too much armchair procrastination causes that). Let me spell it out: Motivation. This woman is quite happy in Estonia. However, she has no husband there and she wants one. She is not overjoyed with the idea of a non Russian speaking guy, but her mind is open to the possibility. That means she wont marry the first overweight, toothless, 75 year old trailer park dwelling loser who writes her. See the difference? Genuine motivation from a woman who has freedom of travel already. A woman who might only marry for love with the right guy. Imagine that?  Undecided

I don't know about her younger preferences ECR; it seldom crops up in the FSU so I doubt she has considered it either.

BC - knowing her background, I would hardly call her a "city girl" as we would understand it - Estonia only has 1.5m people in the whole country. She is from the predominantly Russian district outside the city. Based on that and her having a son, I would lay money that she can cook. She is from Lasnamäe

She would look killer with blonde hair  loving  Any chance Manuel ? Big Grin  Those big blues would get me going anytime of the day or night.
What's her height ?    Also assuming her 17yo kid stays behind, whats the economic outlook there for a teen entering adulthood ? Similar to North Am ?

Prospects would be reasonable. Estonia - whilst in recession like the rest of the world - still has opportunity and is growing. For the more adventurous, Finland is an hour away by fast boat and Sweden and Moscow an overnight ferry/train away. Many Estonians work in those places if they want to earn some cash. Assuming the lad has a brain and an education, far abroad may hold no lure for him. And to go to somewhere like the US would involve leaving all those slim Estonian girls.  Grin

By the time any guy had developed a serious enough relationship with her for her to consider relocation, he will be 18/19 years old. At that age, I doubt he would want to go too far away from Estonia. He will know English from school, Russian from mother and Estonian (inc Finnish) languages from society and school. He is well placed to operate in nearby countries.

Assuming his mother owns her flat - and she may well do - he would have a free home if he stayed. Her motivation to leave would be a good husband. What would his be? None I can see. My money would be on him staying.

One would hope she has thought of this kind of stuff at the point she opened her mind to a foreigner.

Isn't that something you guys discuss with your ladies who are considering becoming members of your agency?

Olya had a long chat with her; I didn't. She cant cover all possible variables though. Much of that stuff is up to a man to find out from the woman himself. It would differ between countries too, she will be thinking in her mind - as most women do - Europe/Scandinavia. This one agreed to open her mind to the rest of the civilised world too.

In our experience, America is a hard sell to a woman. Most want to stay in Europe. (As surprising as many here might find that idea.) That means they future plan with Europe in mind.

I'm not one of the many Manny. Personally I think the thought of Canada is even less desirable to live if they had a chance to write to an American. I often wonder this when I read of a guy, who has the attention of several girls at one time. Of course I wonder if it's me , my bio, my photo's. But more and more I think the Great White North is a place that is seen as similar to Siberia.

Not unreasonable, it would just seem to me that if she waited until after she got engaged to think about this it has the potential to cause unnecessary heartbreak. Especially when this could have been delved into sooner. Conversely, I'm not one of those folks who necessarily believe that seeking a voyage to America and or seeking exclusively an American man is a marker of good intent. YMMV......
