It was on their Immigration Forum that I found out about the possibility to bring my wife and extended family on a EEA Family Permit..

I just had a snoop. I see they process Mexico applications, but it looks to me only if you are in the US/UK, I may be wrong. They do have a small Q&A forum over there for such questions actually.

Yes, I gather they are flexible. Thats why I suggested he asked them.

I first used them when my usual source for support paperwork in Togliatti tried to stiff me and double the usual price. They can be testy about accepting the usual generic Moscow invitations in some parts of Russia - unless you have connected through there - and I don't. I spoke to a Russian woman in their London office, and explained the issue. She made a few calls and called me back, and it was arranged. I like how you can track the application progress online as well.

I found them highly professional and very competant.

In my last trip Mark very kindly suggested I use this company and through their US website, my visa to Russia was handled very professionally. with email updates to the status, projected date of approval, once approved I was told of this via email and also notified the date my visa/passport was mailed back to me.

For a minimal charge and worry free service I highly recommend them

I used Real Russia, cost me £120.  It seems good service and definitely hassle free.  I just wonder what cost would have been if I had done process myself?  Can we do it by post to the Russian Consulate ourselves or must someone visit Consulate in person?  Visa process doesnt seem that complicated to me

If they follow the same set of rules in the UK as they do in Norway, you have to personally drop off and pick the application / passport if you do it yourself.  If you use a travel agent to handle the Visa application they can have it delivered on your behalf. If I used a courier directly, they would not accept the application... go figure.

The paperwork itself is easy, but the pickup / delivery is what kills it for me. If the price you paid includes an invitation then it is similar to what I paid in Norway for:
- invitation
- assistance with the paperwork
- registered shipping to/from the agent
- courier delivery/pickup at the embassy

Rules in the UK may be different though.

Hi

I used gotoRussia every time I traveled, cost of £110. Good service and easy!

Having to supply all the supporting documents (Tourist Voucher and Tourist Confirmation), then filling in the app form and then traveling down to London (never checked if you could post application), IMHO "way to much hassle"!

Not sure its complicated but I am pretty sure you wouldn't save much money and certainly wouldn't save your time.

No matter where you live if you use a travel agency which is certified with the Russian goverment Ministry of Travel and Tourism, it should be a part of the ticket process as a requirement of the agency certification. You'll pay the normal consulate processing fee, but the invitation letter should cost nothing.

We use East-West-Tours in Seattle and they handle it all one stop...from being an Aeroflot ticket consolidator to walking my visa applications down the street to the Russian consulate office. I get everything back in one Fedx envelope - tickets and visa, from an agency whose primary business is FSU travel.

Really? According to my experience, the invitation letter for the tourist visa application is free ONLY if the hotel has been paid already.

Without the REAL hotel reservation invitation letters for tourist visa application (or, to be more precise, hotel voucher & the confirmation of foreign tourist acceptance) cost between $20 and $50.
